Dallas released Palmore on Wednesday, Rob Phillips of the team's official site reports.
Palmore was able to make his NFL debut with the Cowboys last season, when he played 19 defensive snaps and notched one assisted tackle against the Giants in Week 17. He'll now be free to look for a depth role elsewhere in the league.

Palmore has been removed from the practice squad reserve/COVID-19 list, Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle reports.
The defensive tackle spent two weeks on the reserved list but is now able to return to the Cowboys' practice squad. He has yet to be active for a game this season.

Palmore has been placed on the Cowboys' practice squad reserve/COVID-19 list, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
It is unclear if Palmore has actually tested positive for the illness or if he just had close contact with somebody who has. He will now have to quarantine until he he clears protocol
