• Broncos' Bo Nix: QBs to Sit

  Rotowire Oct 28, 2026

Nix was great against Arizona in Week 7 with a season-high 28.2 Fantasy points, which included a 62-yard touchdown run. I'm still skeptical of Nix as a starting Fantasy option in one-quarterback leagues, and he was held to 7.4 Fantasy points in Week 1 against the Chiefs. Nix only has one game this season with multiple touchdown passes, which was Week 3 against the Rams. Kansas City is No. 3 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and Kirk Cousins in Week 4 is the lone quarterback with at least 20 Fantasy points against the Chiefs this season. I would only use Nix in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 8.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Scores 62-yard rushing TD in win

  Rotowire Oct 25, 2026

Nix completed 15 of 29 passes for 222 yards and a touchdown while rushing seven times for 73 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-16 win over the Cardinals. Nix led the Broncos in rushing yards thanks to a 62-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter, which was the longest regular-season rushing score by a QB since Justin Fields ran in a 67-yard TD in 2022. Nix added a 52-yard touchdown pass to RJ Harvey in the third quarter, but it was another quiet outing as a passer for the third-year QB, as Nix has only one multi-touchdown performance through seven starts and is averaging just 182 passing yards per game. Those poor numbers include a 131-yard, one-TD Week 1 performance against the Chiefs, whom the Broncos will host for a Week 8 rematch.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Season-low passing yardage in OT win

  Rotowire Oct 16, 2026

Nix completed 17 of 27 passes for 107 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed four times for two yards in the Broncos' 17-14 overtime win over the Seahawks on Thursday. He also recovered a fumble. Nix continued his season-long trend of sticking to mostly short-area passes, leading to a season-low passing yardage figure and average of 4.0 yards per attempt. The third-year signal-caller did reverse a trend of three straight games with sub-60.0 percent completion rates, but Nix also failed to throw a touchdown for the first time all season. Denver's defense did most of the heavy lifting and both of the Broncos' touchdowns came on the ground, while Nix now has three sub-200-yard passing efforts in the last four contests. The Oregon product should have a good chance of boosting his numbers in Week 7, however, as the Broncos visit the defensively challenged Cardinals on Sunday, Oct. 25.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: QBs to Sit

  Rotowire Oct 14, 2026

Drake Maye, Jacoby Brissett and Justin Herbert all scored 11.8 Fantasy points or less against Seattle, and Brock Purdy only scored 20.2 points against the Seahawks in Week 5. Marcus Mariota somehow scored 26.4 Fantasy points against Seattle in Week 3, but it would be a surprise if Nix had a productive game in this matchup. He's scored 16.1 Fantasy points or less in four of five games, and he combined for 25.4 points in his past two outings against the 49ers and Chargers. His first NFL start was against the Seahawks in Week 1 of 2024, and he scored 11.1 Fantasy points. I could see a repeat performance in the Week 6 rematch.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Switch in play callers falls flat

  Rotowire Oct 11, 2026

Nix was 16-for-27 passing for 123 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions, took four carries for 10 yards and fumbled twice (one lost) during Sunday's 23-17 victory at the Chargers. With head coach Sean Payton taking over play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Davis Webb in Week 5, the decision didn't exactly light a fire under Nix and the Broncos offense. Nix settled for his fewest passing yards of the season, but he at least tossed a TD pass (to WR Courtland Sutton) for a fifth game in a row to kick off the campaign, giving him a 6:3 TD:INT so far. Nix may have a tough time producing better results on a short week when Denver hosts the defending champion Seahawks on Thursday night.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Can't overcome another deficit

  Rotowire Oct 4, 2026

Nix completed 25 of 42 passes for 214 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions while rushing twice for 10 yards in the Broncos' 24-14 loss to the 49ers on Sunday. Nix finished with a serviceable passing line, but he averaged only 5.1 yards per attempt and wasn't able to overcome a second-half deficit as was the case in Week 3 against the Rams. The third-year signal-caller lost talented second-year wideout Pat Bryant to an ankle injury during the contest, and he found his greatest success when targeting RJ Harvey, who was on the receiving end of 10 of his completions. Nix has just a 60.0 percent completion rate and a modest 25 rushing yards through four games, but he may have a chance to boost those numbers against a winless Chargers team on the road in Week 5.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: QBs to Sit

  Rotowire Oct 2, 2026

Nix had his best Fantasy outing of the season in Week 3 against the Rams with 28.1 Fantasy points. He only passed for 186 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, but he added a rushing touchdown and two successful two-point conversions. Prior to Week 3, Nix scored a combined 23.5 Fantasy points against Kansas City and Jacksonville, and he has scored fewer than 20 Fantasy points in six of his past nine road games going back to last year. San Francisco just allowed Jacoby Brissett to score 29.6 Fantasy points in Week 3 in the first game without Nick Bosa (calf), so keep that in mind. But the 49ers also held Matthew Stafford and Malik Willis to a combined 19.9 Fantasy points in the first two games of the season. I would only start Nix in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Three totals TDs in second-half comeback

  Rotowire Sep 28, 2026

Nix completed 17 of 34 passes for 186 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 30-26 win over the Rams. He also rushed four times for seven yards and a touchdown, in addition to throwing two successful two-point conversions. Nix threw for just 53 yards in the first half as the Broncos took a 16-0 deficit into the locker room. Denver turned things around in the third quarter, tying things up at 16-16 heading into the fourth quarter thanks to touchdown passes of five yards to Pat Bryant and eight yards to Nate Adkins, which were followed up by two-point conversions for Jaylen Waddle and Bryant, respectively, all thrown by Nix. The dual-threat QB made his biggest play down the stretch on the ground, powering in the go-ahead one-yard touchdown with 47 seconds left in the fourth quarter after being ruled out just short of the goal line on the preceding play. Denver's defense picked off Matthew Stafford on the game's final play to seal the victory and improve to 2-1. Nix has come up short of 200 passing yards twice in three games heading into a Week 4 road game against the 49ers, and he hasn't been running much since returning from ankle surgery, with just 15 rushing yards this season.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Leads comeback victory Sunday

  Rotowire Sep 20, 2026

Nix completed 22 of 31 passes for 288 yards with one touchdown and one interception while adding five carries for six yards in the Broncos' 20-13 win over the Jaguars on Sunday. Nix and the Broncos' offense started the game off in worrisome fashion, seemingly carrying over the malaise of their Week 1 Monday night loss to the Chiefs. Denver was still facing a 13-6 deficit heading into the fourth quarter, but Nix rallied the troops with a seven-yard touchdown pass to Nate Adkins and a key 17-yard strike to Evan Engram midway through the fourth quarter on what turned out to be the game-winning drive. The victory pulled the Broncos to 1-1 and gave Nix's early-season stats a serious boost heading into a Week 3 home showdown against the Rams next Sunday night.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Looks sharp in preseason debut

  Rotowire Aug 22, 2026

Nix completed six of nine passes for 76 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the Broncos' 33-13 preseason loss to the Packers on Friday. Drawing the start after sitting out the Broncos' preseason opener, Nix helped Denver answer a Packers' opening-drive touchdown with a sharp possession of his own. The third-year signal-caller couldn't connect with Courtland Sutton deep on his first pass attempt, but he went right back to Jaylen Waddle for a 35-yard gain on the next play. Nix would cap off the possession three plays later with a 21-yard scoring strike to RJ Harvey, and he was back out there the second time the Broncos had the ball and helped lead them to three more points. The fact Nix played into the second quarter makes it likelier he sits out the preseason finale against the Vikings and next takes the field on Monday night, Sept. 14 in a Week 1 road battle against the Chiefs.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: In line to play in Friday's preseason contest

  Rotowire Aug 19, 2026

Coach Sean Payton said Nix is expected to play roughly 14 snaps during Friday's preseason game against the Packers, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Nix was rested preseason Week 1 in Atlanta, but he'll see his first game action this week since suffering a broken bone in his right ankle during the Broncos' divisional-round win against the Bills. After undergoing surgery shortly thereafter and another clean-up procedure in April, he took part in mandatory minicamp in June and opened training camp in late July as a full participant. Considering Nix is poised to get a possession or two Friday, he likely will get to work with new WR Jaylen Waddle in a game setting for the first time.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Won't play preseason Week 1

  Rotowire Aug 12, 2026

Nix isn't in line to play in Friday's preseason opener against the Falcons, James Palmer of The Athletic reports. Per Palmer, the Broncos' franchise QB is, however, on track to see action Aug. 21 against the Packers, as well as in the team's Aug. 28 preseason finale, per coach Sean Payton, who noted that the signal-caller has practiced fully since the start of training camp and has taken the same number of snaps as he did during last year's camp, Jeff Legwold of ESPN reports. With Nix slated to sit versus Atlanta, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com relays that Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger are each in line to play a half on Friday.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Works fully Wednesday

  Rotowire Jul 29, 2026

Nix (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's training camp practice, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports. Nix had been limited during the team's offseason program while working his way back from ankle surgery and a follow-up procedure, but as expected, he was ready for training camp's first practice and looked sharp during red-zone work in the process. As the coming campaign approaches, Nix's fantasy prospects should be bolstered by the fact that Denver added Jaylen Waddle, via a trade with the Dolphins this offseason, to a WR corps that returns Courtland Sutton, giving the team a notable 1-2 punch at the position.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Full go for training camp expected

  Rotowire Jun 16, 2026

Nix (ankle), who returned to individual work during Tuesday's mandatory minicamp practice, suggested that he could be "full-go right now if they wanted me to," Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. The Broncos are proceeding cautiously with their franchise QB, who is bouncing back from surgery to repair an ankle injury he suffered during the Broncos' divisional-round playoff win over the Bills in January, as well as a subsequent cleanup procedure to address bone spurs. In terms of his recovery, Nix indicated that his doctors have told him his ankle "looks good as new," while adding that he'll be "just fine" for the upcoming season. Though he'll remain limited in minicamp, coach Sean Payton reiterated Tuesday that Nix is in line to be a full practice participant when the team returns to training camp later this summer.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: In line to practice next week

  Rotowire Jun 11, 2026

Coach Sean Payton said Thursday that Nix (ankle) is expected to practice at mandatory minicamp next week, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Nix suffered a fracture in his right ankle near the ned of the Broncos' divisional-round win against the Bills and missed the AFC Championship Game loss to the Patriots. After undergoing surgery in late January, he was facing a 12-week recovery, but his on-field work during the offseason program was delayed due to a clean-up procedure that he had in late April. Payton noted Thursday that Nix participated in the walkthrough prior to Thursday's OTA, while adding that he believes Nix will be "completely clean, mobility-wise," once he's back to full health, according to Stevens. The dual threat has combined for 7,706 passing yards and 786 rushing yards in 34 regular-season games since he was selected 12th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Nearing practice return?

  Rotowire Jun 4, 2026

Broncos coach Sean Payton said Thursday that Nix (ankle) has been throwing at OTAs and will resume practicing with teammates at June minicamp, Luca Evans of The Denver Post reports. Coming back from a broken ankle suffered during the playoffs, Nix had a minor clean-up procedure in mid-to-late April but still seems to be on track in his recovery. Payton previously mentioned June minicamp as a target date to increase Nix's participation, with the Broncos hoping their starting QB will then be a full participant at the start of training camp in late July. For now, Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger are handling Denver's QB reps while battling for the No. 2 job behind Nix.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: On track for minicamp

  Rotowire May 9, 2026

Head coach Sean Payton told reporters Saturday that Nix (ankle) will throw during mid-June minicamp and should be at full speed at training camp in July, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. Nix continues to progress in his recovery from surgery to repair a broken bone in his right ankle that he underwent in late January. The initial recovery timeline was 12 weeks, but the Broncos won't push the third-year quarterback too much during June's minicamp, with Jarrett Stidham expected to take the majority of snaps at that time, though Nix should be a full go for training camp.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: To be back on field in 4-to-6 weeks

  Rotowire Jan 28, 2026

Nix said Wednesday that he'll begin training again in about 4-to-6 weeks after undergoing surgery on a "simple bone break" in his right ankle last Tuesday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. That's not to say Nix won't require 12 weeks to recover fully, as reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN on Sunday, but the second-year quarterback will resume on-field work about when he normally would in the offseason after his season ended when he suffered the injury near the end of the Broncos' divisional-round overtime win against the Bills. Nix racked up 3,931 passing yards, 356 more yards on the ground and 30 total touchdowns (25 through the air, five rushing) in 17 regular-season games in 2025, so he'll remain a steady option for fantasy purposes in the upcoming campaign once he's healthy.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Facing 12-week recovery

  Rotowire Jan 25, 2026

Nix is expected to require 12 weeks to heal after undergoing surgery Tuesday to repair his broken right ankle, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. According to Schefter, Nix will be barred from putting weight on his right ankle for the next four weeks following surgery, and he'll then need around eight weeks to complete the rehab process before he's ready to resume on-field work. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network adds that Nix received good news upon undergoing surgery, as his injured ankle had "limited ligament damage and no joint surface damage." Given the estimated recovery timeline, Nix doesn't look like he'll be available for the start of Denver's offseason program, though he could be fully cleared for OTAs and minicamp in the late spring. With Nix sidelined for the duration of the Broncos' playoff run, Jarrett Stidham will step in as the team's starting quarterback in Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Patriots.

• Broncos' Bo Nix: Win clinches first-round bye

  Rotowire Jan 4, 2026

Nix completed 14 of 23 pass attempts for 141 yards while taking eight carries for 49 yards in Sunday's 19-3 win over the Chargers. Nix put his athleticism on display against the Chargers by rushing for his most yards (49) in a single game this season. The 25-year-old fell short as a passer when he was held without a touchdown pass for the third time in 17 starts. The surging sophomore leaned on his defense and special teams to secure victory Sunday, a win that earned Denver the AFC's No. 1 seed and a first-round bye for the upcoming playoff schedule. Nix finishes the regular season completing 63 percent of his pass attempts for 3,931 yards, 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while producing a 83-356-5 line on the ground. The Broncos will now await the results of the wild-card round before preparing for their opponent in the divisional round on either Jan. 17 or 18.
