Damarion Williams: Headed to LA
Williams (undisclosed) was signed to the Rams' practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Williams was waived from injured reserve by the Buccaneers in early September after suffering an undisclosed injury during the preseason. The cornerback now appears to be back to full health, and he'll now have a chance to earn an elevation to the active roster with Los Angeles down the road this year.

Williams was a fourth-round draft pick by the Ravens in 2022 and played in 14 regular-season games during his rookie campaign. However, he missed almost all of last season due to an ankle injury and struggled in Saturday's preseason loss to Green Bay, which may have sealed his fate in terms of making the 53-man roster. Williams spent the first 14 weeks of the season on injured reserve after undergoing ankle surgery in August. Williams (ankle) is slated to have surgery that will likely leave him sidelined for the start of the season, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Coach John Harbaugh indicated Williams will likely be ready by October, so he is unlikely to be placed on injured reserve until the final roster cuts are set. Once that happens and he is subsequently placed on IR, he will be eligible to return by Week 5 if his recovery remains on track.
