Brown returned from the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this month, but he has opted to retire while still under contract. If the Florida International product returns in the future, he'll need to either play for the Bills or get traded.

The Bills activated Brown (illness) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic reports.
The undrafted rookie out of Florida International has gained full clearance after having been placed on the reserve list late July. He'll resume competing for a depth role in Buffalo's secondary.
