The 49ers waived Brown off the practice squad Tuesday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Brown was unable to make the 49ers' 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but he opted to stick around on the practice squad. Assuming he clears waivers, the 25-year-old will look to catch on with a team in need of depth on the defensive line.

Brown (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Brown suffered the injury in Saturday's preseason loss to the Bears. The Troy product was working to make the team after going undrafted in 2023, but now he'll miss the season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team.

Brown left Saturday's 23-17 exhibition loss to the Bears early after suffering an ankle injury, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
There is no word yet on the severity of Brown's ankle injury other than him being unable to return. He is currently competing for the opportunity to provide depth at defensive end in the upcoming season.
