Chargers' Tarheeb Still: Major role in rookie season
Rotowire
Still played in 14 regular-season games in 2024 and finished with 62 tackles (45 solo), including 0.5 sacks, 10 pass defenses (including three interceptions and a pick-six).
Still was selected by the Chargers in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He didn't play in the first three games (one of which was due to a hip injury), but he made his NFL regular-season debut against the Chiefs in Week 4. Not only was he a starter for the Bolts' first-team defense, but he was a designated starter in 12 of the 14 games he played during the regular season. Still's best performance came in Week 13 against the Falcons, when he picked off Kirk Cousins twice, the second of which he returned for a touchdown. With Asante Samuel (shoulder) and Kristian Fulton entering the offseason as unrestricted free agents, Still appears to have the inside track at the starting outside corner role for the 2025 campaign, possibly opposite fellow fifth-round rookie Cam Hart (shoulder).

Chargers' Tarheeb Still: Could play Week 1
Rotowire
Still (hip) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders.
The rookie corner out of Maryland has been dealing with a hip issue as of late, but it appears he still has a chance to suit up Sunday. He was also able to practice in full Friday, which is a positive sign for his Week 1 availability. If Still is unable to go, expect Cam Hart and Deane Leonard to see additional snaps in the Chargers' secondary.

Chargers' Tarheeb Still: First secondary player for LAC
Rotowire
The Chargers selected Still in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 137th overall.
Despite obvious needs in the secondary, Still represents Los Angeles' first foray into the position during the draft. At 5-foot-11, 189 pounds Still is a strong man-to-man corner that's prone to drawing penalties due to his physicality at the top of routes. Expect the four-year starter from Maryland to immediately compete with Deane Leonard for one of the team's starting corner spots.
