Cannon hadn't practiced in weeks and was unable to make much progress since sustaining the high-ankle sprain in Week 8, prompting New England to shut him down for the season. According to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, Cannon, who is also nursing a foot injury, will likely require surgery to address the ankle issue, but the Patriots expect him to be ready to go for Organized Team Activities in the spring. New England will proceed with LaAdrian Waddle (ankle) as its right tackle, with Cameron Fleming set to serve as the backup at the position.
Cannon (ankle) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Cannon has not practiced in a few weeks and currently has no timetable for return. Cameron Fleming is a likely candidate to fill in at right tackle.
Cannon (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
Cannon remained in Massachusetts while the team practiced in Colorado Springs this week ahead of Sunday's matchup in Mexico City, so it was never expected that he would be available in Week 11. The 29-year-old will likely need to at least string together a couple a practice sessions in order to make a return Week 12 against the Dolphins.
