Jets' Bennett Jackson: Back with Jets
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jackson signed a contract with the Jets on Tuesday, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.

Jackson spent time on both the 53-man roster and the practice squad for the Jets in 2019, making one tackle in two games. The 28-year-old will likely see action primarily on special teams while providing depth in the secondary in 2020.

Ravens' Bennett Jackson: Questionable for Week 9
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ravens' Bennett Jackson: Signs with injury-riddled Ravens
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Ravens signed Jackson on Tuesday.

Over the last two weeks, the Ravens have placed both Tony Jefferson (knee) and DeShon Elliott (knee) on injured reserve, leaving a major void in the team's secondary. Jackson spent time on the Ravens' practice squad last year and with the Jets' active roster this year, but he's still never played an NFL snap since being drafted in 2014. The state of the Ravens' secondary means Jackson has a good shot to at least contribute on special teams Sunday against the Seahawks.

Bennett Jackson: Drops to waivers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Jets waived Jackson on Monday.

Jackson was dropped so the Jets could add Luke Falk since Sam Darnold (illness) is facing an extended absence. The 28-year-old is a good candidate for the team's practice squad.

Giants DB Bennett Jackson out for year with torn ACL
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com

A torn ACL sustained try to make a tackle in a preseason game Saturday night against Jacksonville will knock out Giants defensive back Bennett Jackson for the year, per the New York Daily News.

The 2014 sixth-round pick lost all of last season as well with a knee injury.

Bennett was healthy in camp this year, however, and was working to make the transition from cornerback to safety. He was working often with the first team.

by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com

Giants second-year cornerback Bennett Jackson is spending the offseason transitioning to safety.

"At the end of the day, I’m a DB,’" Jackson said, per the New York Post. "I think my strengths are cover skills, I got good speed and I got good ball skills. The thing it’s gonna take for me to get out there and make an impact is, I just got to learn the defense and really just communicate the calls fluently."

"It is all in front of him," coach Tom Coughlin said. "We think he can cover. He has done a good job of getting us lined up and then we will see how he plays."
