White is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins due to a concussion.
White was initially listed as questionable to retake the field Week 17, but has ultimately entered the league-mandated concussion protocol. Denzel Rice is expected to slot into the starting lineup for the remainder of Sunday's season finale.
White had three tackles (two solo) and his first interception of the season in Sunday's 41-9 loss to the Bears.
White came up with the interception as the Bears were driving into Bills territory, coming up with a 37-yard return. The Bears totaled only 190 yards of offense but it made little difference with the Bills continuing turnover issues. White and the Bills secondary will match-up against the Jets and quarterback Sam Darnold next week, who threw four interceptions Sunday.
White recorded eight tackles (six solo) and a pass defensed across 75 defensive snaps in Monday's loss to the Patriots.
White was second on the team in tackles Monday, bringing his season total to 28 (24 solo). The 23-year-old continues to see the most work out of any cornerback on the roster by a wide margin. He'll now shift his focus to containing Mitch Trubisky and the Bears' passing attack this Sunday.
Expect Buffalo's best corner to become very familiar with the explosive DeAndre Hopkins in one of the better 1-on-1 matchups you'll see around the league this week.
White (ankle) was limited for the second straight practice Thursday, with coach Sean McDermott calling him "day-to-day," Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports.
It doesn't seem like White is in any jeopardy of missing Sunday's game in Houston. However, he does have a tough matchup where he's expected to shadow DeAndre Hopkins for most of the afternoon, so the Bills would probably feel much more comfortable if he's able to practice fully Friday.
