Seahawks' Darrell Taylor: Back at practice
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Taylor (leg) participated at Tuesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

The rookie second-round pick has been on the non-football injury list all season, and he was finally able to take the practice field Sunday. It's unclear if Taylor will be able to get up to speed to join the active roster for any playoff action, but he's clearly in the final stages of his recovery.

Seahawks' Darrell Taylor: Could return for finale
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that Taylor (leg) will try to practice next week, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Taylor has been on the cusp of practicing for more than a month now, and he received an injection in his leg Dec. 7 to help expedite the process. Even Carroll expressed some doubt about Taylor's chances of practicing next week, stating, "We'll see if that can come to life." The rookie second-round pick will remain on the non-football injury list until further notice.

Seahawks' Darrell Taylor: Will be evaluated later in December
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Taylor received an injection last week, and it will be a "couple week process," Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.

Taylor's return to practice seemingly gets pushed off on a weekly basis, as his chances of returning this season are becoming increasingly unlikely. The rookie second-round pick could return for a playoff run, but the Seahawks may be best served by letting Taylor fully recover ahead of the 2021 season.

Seahawks' Darrell Taylor: Unlikely to return this year
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Taylor (leg) is looking for an off-campus second opinion on his injury, as the hope that he will return again this year has greatly diminished, Joe Fann of NBC Sports Northwest reports.

It sounded like Taylor was nearing a return less than two weeks ago, but he has seemingly suffered some type of setback. It is looking likely that the rookie will have to set his sights on 2021 for his NFL debut.

Seahawks' Darrell Taylor: Hopeful to practice this week
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Taylor (leg) is hopeful to practice this week according to head coach Pete Carroll, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Taylor has been on Seattle's NFI list since the beginning of the season, as he has been rehabbing a leg injury that has held him out of action since the NFL Combine. Even if he does practice this week, the rookie could still be a couple weeks away from game action.

Seahawks' Darrell Taylor: Still no clear timetable
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Coach Pete Carroll said Taylor (leg) still has no clear timeline for return from reserve/non-football injury list, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.

Carroll said he was excited about getting the rookie second-rounder into the lineup, but he wasn't confident that Taylor would be ready to return Week 7 against the 49ers -- the first game he's eligible to play. For the time being, L.J. Collier and Benson Mayowa will start at defensive end, but both Alton Robinson and Damontre Moore have handled decent workloads.

Seahawks' Darrell Taylor: No timetable for return
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that he's unsure when Taylor (leg) will be able to resume practicing, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

The rookie second-round pick continues to rehab from January leg surgery, the severity of which kept him from practicing at all in training camp and led to his placement on the reserve/non-football injury list list to kick off the season. Taylor won't be eligible for activation until November, but at that point he could be available to bolster Seattle's pass rush.

Seahawks' Darrell Taylor: Heads to NFI list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Taylor (leg) was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list Saturday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Taylor's NFL debut is on hold, as this leg injury kept him out of training camp and he won't be available until November. At this time, there's no reason to think he won't be ready once he's eligible to be activated, but for the time being, Benson Mayowa (undisclosed) and Rasheem Green are expected to start at defensive end while L.J. Collier and Alton Robinson serve in rotational roles.

Seahawks' Darrell Taylor: Not a lock for Week 1
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Coach Pete Carroll said Sunday that "it's going to be hard for [Taylor] (leg) to make the opener," John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Carroll said that Taylor is "still a few weeks away" and noted that the defensive end has recently been away from the team due to the birth of his child. The rookie second-round pick still resides on the active/non-football injury list.

The Seahawks placed Taylor (leg) on the active/non-football injury list Monday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Taylor continues to progress in his recovery from a leg injury that kept him from testing at the combine earlier this offseason. The rookie second-round pick should compete for snaps when healthy.

The Seahawks selected Taylor (leg) in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, 48th overall.

Seattle traded up to nab Taylor out of Tennesse. Taylor comes to the NFL after a redshirt senior season in which he piled up 8.5 sacks and 10.0 tackles for loss. He was unable to test at the combine after undergoing surgery on his left leg in January. Still, Taylor has a good frame for an edge player, checking in at 6-foot-3 and 267 pounds with 33-inch arms that help him take on offensive linemen. He profiles as a situational pass rusher for 2020 that could develop into a more regular role.
