  • Giants' Breon Borders: Catches on with Big Blue

The Giants signed Borders to a contract Sunday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports. Borders was a member of the Falcons during training camp in 2023, but he wasn't able to make the 53-man roster. He last played in 2022 with the Bears, when he played nine special teams snaps in Week 18 against the Vikings. Borders' most productive season came in 2020 with the Titans, when he recorded 27 tackles (22 solo), five passes defended and one interception across six regular-season games. His special teams experience could help him nab a depth spot on the Giants' 53-man roster, or at least catch onto their practice squad at the conclusion of training camp.

  • Falcons' Breon Borders: Shines in preseason opener

Borders (suspension) recorded five tackles (two solo) and an interception, which he returned 26 yards for a touchdown, during Friday's preseason contest against the Dolphins. Borders was suspended by the NFL for the first two regular-season games of 2023 due to an undisclosed reason at the beginning of June, but that didn't stop the the Duke product from making a strong impression during Atlanta's first exhibition. The 28-year-old journeyman appeared in just one game for Chicago last year and is looking to carve out a role in a revamped secondary, which is currently without two of its top cornerbacks in Jeff Okudah (ankle) and Clark Phillips (leg).

  • Breon Borders: Cut by Arizona

Borders was let go by the Cardinals on Sunday. Borders was signed by the Cardinals ahead of Week 17, but he was sidelined for the game after testing positive for the virus. He made his debut for Arizona in Week 18, recording three tackles across 17 defensive snaps. His departure suggests that the Cardinals are confident Marco Wilson (shoulder) will be available for Monday's wild-card matchup against the Rams.

  • Titans' Breon Borders: Promoted to active roster

Borders was promoted to the Titans' active roster from the practice squad Saturday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. Borders spent some time on the practice squad COVID-19 list during October, but he's otherwise been on the Titans' practice squad all season. The 25-year-old was elevated as an extra player for Week 8 and had three total tackles while playing seven defensive snaps.

  • Breon Borders: Back from COVID-19 list

The Titans activated Borders from the practice squad COVID-19 list Tuesday, Myles Simmons of the team's official site reports. Borders will return to team activities after being placed on the COVID-19 list Oct. 8. The Titans have solid depth at cornerback, so Borders will look to keep developing in case injuries surface.

  • Breon Borders: Heads to COVID-19 List

Borders was placed on the Titans' practice squad COVID-19 list Thursday. As of Thursday afternoon, the Titans' COVID outbreak extended to include 23 players who had tested positive the past two weeks, putting Sunday afternoon's kickoff against the Bills in question. Borders is currently a member of Tennessee's practice squad, and he's yet to make his debut for the undefeated Titans.

  • Breon Borders: Time up in Pittsburgh

The Steelers cut Borders on Tuesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Borders appeared in 11 games with Jacksonville and one game with Washington last season, so he could catch on in a depth role elsewhere. He also boasts limited utility on special teams.
