Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Remains inactive Week 11
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bowden (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 11 game against the Broncos.

The rookie will remain out of game action, with Matt Breida's return from a hamstring injury further lowering his chances of garnering active status. Bowden's next chance to see game action will come in a Week 12 matchup against the division-rival Jets.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Not playing Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bowden (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

The 23-year-old was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday but won't be suiting up for Sunday's contest, even with running backs Matt Breida (hamstring) and Jordan Howard (coach's decision) inactive. Bowden has appeared in four games this season and has only five touches for eight yards.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Activated from COVID-19 list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bowden was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.

The third-round rookie has endured a quiet debut campaign, after racking up more than 1,800 scrimmage yards last year during his final season at Kentucky. Prior to landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list Nov. 6, Bowden had compiled just five total offensive touches for an ouptut of eight scrimmage yards. The 23-year-old figures to slot into a niche role within Miami's offense once able to return to game action, and opportunities among the receiving corps may become available with Preston Williams (foot) moving to IR on Monday.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Thursday return imminent
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bowden is expected to come off the COVID-19 list and resume practicing Thursday, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

Bowden missed last week's game while on the COVID list and was a healthy scratch the week before. He's expected to return to the practice field along with multiple assistant coaches Thursday. The rookie third-round pick has appeared in just four games this season, totaling 23 offensive snaps.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Lands on COVID-19 list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Dolphins placed Bowden on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Travis Wingfield of the team's official site reports.

Bowden has either tested positive for the virus or come into close contact with an infected person, and he won't play Sunday against the Cardinals. The rookie third-rounder will need to clear the necessary protocols before returning to team activities. He could have an increased role upon his return because the Dolphins traded away Isaiah Ford on Tuesday, and Myles Gaskin (knee) is on IR.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Won't suit up Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bowden (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Rams, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.

Bowden played in all three games before Miami's Week 7 bye, and he totaled four rushes for just nine yards and wasn't targeted once. He and Jordan Howard will both be wearing street clothes Sunday, as Matt Breida and Patrick Laird rotate in behind starter Myles Gaskin.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: No chances on offense
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bowden did not garner a single rush attempt or target during Sunday's 24-0 win against the Jets.

The third-round rookie fielded five offensive snaps against Gang Green, which is near his typical level of involvement. But Week 6 marked the first time in four appearances this season that Bowden went without a touch. He's been a peripheral contributor in his debut NFL season out of Kentucky, with four total rush attempts and just one reception, and he's expected to resume that role once Miami returns from its Week 7 bye to take on the Rams.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Three rushes in romping of 49ers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bowden registered four rushing yards on three carries during Sunday's 43-17 win against San Francisco.

The third-round rookie logged his first career start in Miami's Week 5 rout, also playing a season-high 15 percent of the offensive snaps. Over the course of the year, he's been more involved in the rushing realm (four carries) than as a receiver (one target) on his limited workload. For Kentucky in 2018, Bowden collected 67 receptions to nine rush attempts, but in his final collegiate season last year, he ran for 7.9 yards per carry on 185 attempts while only registering 30 catches.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Takes first career carry
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bowden had one carry for five yards during Sunday's 31-23 loss to the Seahawks.

Miami's running game clearly runs through Myles Gaskin with Matt Breida as his backup, but it's encouraging to see the team slowly working Bowden in on offense. The rookie previously had one catch as a wide receiver in Week 2, so while his current depth role doesn't forebode fantasy production in the immediate future, a prospect with his versatility is worth monitoring in keeper and dynasty formats.

Bowden will play in Sunday's game versus the Seahawks.

Bowden was a healthy scratch last week against the Jaguars but will return to the lineup Sunday. He's listed as the No. 6 wideout for the Dolphins and likely won't be a major part of the offense against Seattle.

Bowden (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Jaguars.

Bowden only played five percent of offensive snaps Week 2, so his absence won't carry very noticeable fantasy repercussions. Jakeem Grant and Mack Hollins will serve as Miami's depth wideouts behind DeVante Parker, Preston Williams and Isaiah Ford.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Makes first NFL catch
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bowden secured his only target for a loss of one yard during Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Bills.

Bowden was one of nine Dolphins to catch a pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick during the Week 2 loss. The rookie could see his role increase as the season continues, but for now, he's not on the fantasy radar. Bowden, who was drafted by the Raiders as a running back, remains listed as a wide receiver by Miami and has yet to log a single carry.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Set for NFL debut
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bowden is officially active for Sunday's game against the Bills, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Bowden was a healthy scratch for Week 1 after he was acquired by the Dolphins via the Raiders on Sept. 5. The Kentucky product is known for his versatility at both receiver and running back, however, he was originally listed at receiver on the team's depth chart to start the season. It's unclear what sort of role Bowden will have in the offense, especially with DeVante Parker playing despite a hamstring issue.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Won't play Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bowden (coach's decision) is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

Bowden was acquired by the Dolphins via the Raiders Sept. 5 in exchange for a draft pick, but he'll have to wait at least a week to make his NFL debut. The 2020 third-round pick out of Kentucky was listed as a receiver on the team's depth chart and could see action out of the slot when in the lineup. In his stead, Isaiah Ford and Mack Hollins will handle depth receiver duties for Sunday's contest.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Listed as receiver
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bowden, whom the Dolphins acquired from the Raiders on Saturday, is expected to serve primarily as a receiver during his rookie season, Cameron Wolfe of reports.

Wolfe notes that Bowden will wear jersey No. 15 for Miami, which supports the notion that he'll be playing receiver rather than running back, where the Raiders had planned for him to begin his career. Though Las Vegas surprisingly chose to move on from the rookie third-round pick out of Kentucky, Bowden's athleticism and versatility could make him a useful weapon for Miami once he's able to gain familiarity with offensive coordinator Chan Gailey's scheme. During his final season of college, Bowden played both wide receiver and quarterback, serving mostly as a running threat at the latter position while rarely throwing the ball.

Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Dealt to Dolphins
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Raiders traded Bowden and a sixth-round pick to the Dolphins in exchange for a fourth-round selection Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The move is a surprising one after the Raiders invested a 2020 third-rounder for the Kentucky product back in April. Bowden was a wide receiver in college until last season, when he was called upon to play quarterback. Upon joining Las Vegas, he was expected to play running back but was discussed as a potential wildcat QB as well. Now, the Raiders have decided to move on. With the Dolphins, Bowden could again get some run as a receiver, but his most likely path to reps right away is as a kick returner.

Raiders' Lynn Bowden: Could play wildcat QB
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Offensive coordinator Greg Olson believes Bowden could take some snaps as a quarterback, the Raiders' official site reports.

The Raiders view their third-round pick as a running back first and foremost, but it isn't clear he'll be able to earn a Week 1 backfield role in an offense that already has Josh Jacobs and Jalen Richard slated for carries and targets. Wildcat packages would be one way to get the ball in Bowden's hands, perhaps mimicking what he did last season as an option quarterback at Kentucky. Bowden completed only 35 of 74 passes (47.3 percent) for 5.4 yards per attempt and three touchdowns, but his 185-1,468-13 rushing line helped Kentucky win six of its final eight games. He also caught 30 passes for 348 yards and a score, with all of his receiving production occurring in the first five games of the season before he moved under center full time. Bowden could eventually move to wide receiver if things don't work out in the backfield, and he also may get a look on kickoff and punt returns.
