Schwartz notched an assist and two PIM in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Golden Knights.
Schwartz was initially credited with the Kraken's second goal, but he never touched the puck as Jared McCann's shot slid through the crease. That left Schwartz with a secondary assist for his first point with a team other than the Blues. The 29-year-old winger slumped to 21 points, 70 shots on goal and 40 hits in 40 games last year, but he still earned a five-year contract from the Kraken in free agency. Schwartz signed a five-year, $27.5 million contract with the Kraken on Wednesday.
Schwartz had a bit of a down year last season, finishing the campaign with eight goals and 21 points in 40 contests, but he was excellent in 2019-20, racking up 22 goals, 57 points and 162 shots on net through 71 games with St. Louis.
