  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Finds twine in win

Scheifele scored a goal on four shots in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks. Scheifele has four points over his last three games. He seemed to be bothered by a nagging issue in late November, but it looks to be behind him now. • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Offense picking back up

Scheifele had two assists Thursday in a 3-2 overtime win over Buffalo. Scheifele had been quietly offensively of late, so it was nice to see him get two helpers -- he has just five points (one goal, four assists) over his last eight games, including three points in his last two contests. Perhaps most importantly, Scheifele won 14 of 25 face-offs -- he's seen more time at wing than center of late due to an undisclosed issue. The big pivot's slower offensive pace will likely increase now as well. Whatever was ailing him appears to be behind him.

  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Scores lone goal in loss

Scheifele scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Blues. Scheifele began the game on right wing, with Vladislav Namestnikov moving up to the top line. In the contest, Scheifele won six of 15 faceoffs -- over the last handful of games, he had seen a reduced role at the dot, though he's played through whatever issue has limited him. The 31-year-old snapped a six-game goal drought and now has 13 tallies, 27 points, 57 shots on net, 26 hits, 23 blocked shots, 21 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 26 appearances. The Jets are still in a rough patch, but Scheifele figures to continue playing a prominent role as they look to get back to their early-season form.

  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Draws assist Monday

Scheifele logged an assist, three shots on goal, three hits, two blocked shots and two PIM in Monday's 4-1 win over the Wild. Scheifele didn't take a faceoff Monday -- he's likely dealing with something that he can play through, but it's prevented him from being heavily involved at the dot over the last three games. The center is still contributing in other ways, and as long as he's scoring, fantasy managers won't have much to complain about. The 31-year-old has five points over his last four contests, and he's up to 12 goals, 14 assists, 50 shots on net, 23 hits, 20 blocked shots, 21 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 22 outings overall.
