  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Second on team in goals

Lee finished the season with 28 goals, 18 assists and a rating of minus-11. Lee admitted during the season that it took him a bit to feel normal coming into the season after recovering from a torn ACL. His 28 goals fell short of the 40 he posted in 2017-18, but he hopes a typical offseason will allow him to reach that plateau once again.

Lee scored a goal in a 4-1 win over Washington on Tuesday. Lee had been goalless in his previous six games before scoring late in the third period in this one. Lee now has 27 goals and 44 points on the season to go with a minus-9 rating, 148 shots and 92 hits.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Pockets helper Friday

Lee provided an assist, logged two hits and added four PIM in Friday's 3-0 win over the Canadiens. Lee snapped a nine-game goal drought Thursday, and his assist Friday gave him points in consecutive games for the first time since late March. The 31-year-old winger is up to 26 goals, 17 helpers, 140 shots on net, 83 hits and a minus-7 rating through 68 outings this season.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Goalless drought continues

Lee failed to light the lamp for a ninth straight contest in a 5-4 shootout win over the Penguins on Tuesday. Overall, Lee has had a solid season with 25 goals and 41 points in 66 games. If Lee can score five more goals in the last 10 games, it would be the first time hitting the 30-plus goal mark since the 2017-18 season, when he scored 40 times. Lee has also been moved off a line with Mathew Barzal but has been playing with Brock Nelson as his center.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Two points Saturday

Lee scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Bruins. While the Islanders played poorly as a whole, Lee at least recorded his third straight multi-point performance and fifth in the last 11 games, a stretch during which the 31-year-old has piled up 11 goals and 18 points. Saturday's goal was also his 25th of the season, the fifth time he's reached that mark in his career, but Lee's managed only 38 points through 57 games.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Bags three apples against Detroit

Lee dished out three assists -- one on the power play -- in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings. The red-hot winger has six assists to go with 10 goals over his last 10 games, as the Red Wings had no answer for Lee in this one. He set up a goal in each period, helping Anthony Beauvillier open the scoring just nine seconds into the first before assisting on both of Brock Nelson's goals.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Pots 10th goal in last nine

Lee had a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Senators. Lee helped set up Scott Mayfield's tie-breaking goal with just over 10 minutes left in the third period, then added an insurance marker with 2:35 to play and Anton Forsberg still in Ottawa's net. After scoring just 14 goals through 46 games, Lee has exploded for 10 goals in his last nine, conjuring memories of his 40-goal campaign in 2017-18.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Point scoring streak snapped

Lee had his seven-game point-scoring streak snapped in the Islanders' 2-1 loss to the Flyers on Sunday. Lee came into the contest with nine goals and two assists in his past seven games but was held off the scoresheet against the Flyers. On the season, Lee has 23 goals and eight assists. He has a shot at scoring 30-plus goals for the first time since the 2017-18 season, when he posted 40 markers. The next chance for Lee to light the lamp will be Tuesday versus the Senators.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Reaches 20-goal mark

Lee scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 5-2 win over the Jets. Lee struck at 1:49 of the second period, and his goal stood as the game-winner. Since missing a March 5 game versus the Blues for personal reasons, Lee has racked up six goals and a helper in his last three outings. That surge stands in contrast to much of the rest of his season -- he's up to 20 tallies but he's added only seven assists in 49 appearances this season. The forward has added 107 shots, 62 hits and a minus-6 rating in a top-six role.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Scoops up hat trick

Lee netted three goals in a 6-0 win over the Blue Jackets on Thursday. Lee had two goals and an assist March 7 against the Avalanche and now has put together two consecutive games with huge final lines. The 31-year-old center has had an otherwise quiet season, with 26 points in 48 games, so maybe there's a bit more left in the tank for the final weeks of the season.

Lee scored two power-play goals and added an assist in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Avalanche. Lee missed Saturday's game versus the Blues while attending to a personal matter. Lee scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Kings. Lee tallied at 9:47 of the second period to get the Islanders on the board. He also set up Mathew Barzal later in the frame. Lee hadn't posted a multi-point effort in two months -- his last was a two-goal game versus the Senators on Dec. 7. The captain is at 12 tallies, five assists, 77 shots on net, 52 hits and a minus-5 rating in 35 appearances this season.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Grabs power-play helper Sunday

Lee logged a power-play assist, five shots on goal, two hits and two PIM in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Wild. Lee's offense has gotten a little spotty again, as he has a goal and two assists in his last five games. He helped out on Oliver Wahlstrom's third-period tally Sunday. Lee is at 11 goals, four helpers, 74 shots on net, 43 hits and 12 PIM in 32 appearances overall. He'll continue to have some intrigue as a top-line winger, but the offense hasn't matched the role halfway through the campaign.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Notches apple

Lee had an assist as the Islanders defeated the Coyotes, 4-0 on Friday. Lee -- who snapped a four-game point-less streak Friday -- and the Islanders will play under a heavy heart Saturday versus the Maple Leafs, as Islanders great and Hall of Famer Clark Gillies passed away Friday. Gillies was part of the championship teams for the Islanders in the 1980s and is considered one of the best power forwards to ever play the game. Gillies had 319 goals and 378 assists in 958 games during the regular season and another 47 goals and 47 assists during the postseason. Gillies was also considered one of the most feared fighters in the game and amassed 1,023 penalty minutes in his career.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Points in five straight games

Lee has six goals and two assists in his last eight games. Those assists are the only ones Lee has on the season in 23 games, but the team will gladly take his 30-plus-goal pace.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Heating up

Lee has points in three straight games and in five of his last six. Unfortunately for Lee and the Islanders, just as he was getting hot, the NHL had to pause due to COVID-19 and the holiday break. Before the pause, Lee had four goals and two assists in five games. He will try to continue that hot streak when the Islanders play their first game since the break against the Sabres on Thursday.
