    Driedger has undergone surgery to repair a torn right ACL he suffered during the third period of Team Canada's Gold Medal match versus Finland during the IIHF World Championship and is expected to be sidelined for 7-9 months. Driedger will be sidelined for most of the 2022-23 campaign at a minimum, so the Kraken will undoubtedly be looking to add another netminder this offseason. The 28-year-old netminder went 9-14-1 while posting a 2.96 GAA and an .899 save percentage through 27 appearances with Seattle in 2021-22.

    Dreidger made 23 saves in a 4-3 overtime loss to Ottawa on Thursday. Dreidger got no help in the first and second when his teammates slumbered. Josh Norris beat him on a one-timer off a cross-ice feed in the first and Brady Tkachuk chipped in a puck over his glove from in tight at the 5:43 mark of the second. Parker Kelly then made it 3-0 when he picked up a giveaway by Adam Larsson and went five-hole. Norris sealed the win with another one-timer in the extra frame. Dreidger is 2-7-1 in his last 10 starts on a dreadful team.
