  • Sabres' Eric Comrie: Grabs two-year deal

Comrie inked a two-year, $3.6 million contract with Buffalo on Wednesday. Comrie logged just 19 games for the Jets last season while stuck behind workhorse Connor Hellebuyck. In those outings, the 27-year-old Comrie went 10-5-1 with a 2.58 GAA and one shutout. Playing alongside Craig Anderson, Comrie should get significantly more opportunities to start but should be considered the No. 2 option heading into the 2022-23 campaign.

  • Jets' Eric Comrie: Starting against Seattle

Comrie will guard the home goal during Sunday's season finale versus the Kraken, Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet reports. Comrie was fantastic in his last start Tuesday versus Philadelphia, turning aside all 35 shots he faced en route to a 4-0 win. He'll try to end the season on a high note by picking up a victory in a favorable home matchup with a Seattle squad that's 11-26-3 on the road this year.

  • Jets' Eric Comrie: Shuts out Philly for ninth win

Comrie stopped all 35 shots he faced in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Flyers. Philadelphia finished with a 35-27 edge in shots but couldn't solve Comrie, who won for the first time since March 25 to improve to 9-5-1. Comrie has impressed in a backup role and should earn a raise this offseason compared to his current one-year, $750,000 deal.

  • Jets' Eric Comrie: Facing Flyers

Comrie will patrol the crease during Wednesday's home game versus Philadelphia, Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun reports. Comrie was pretty sharp in his last start Thursday against Carolina, stopping 42 of 45 shots, but he still ultimately came away with a loss due to insufficient goal support from his teammates. He'll try to snap his personal three-game losing streak in a favorable home matchup with a Flyers team that's 11-24-5 on the road this season.

  • Jets' Eric Comrie: New career mark for saves

Comrie made 42 saves in a 4-2 loss to Carolina on Thursday. He allowed three goals. It was a new NHL career mark for saves for Comrie, who was given a 2-0 lead after one period. He carried it almost through the second until Teuvo Teravainen cut the lead to 2-1 on a 4-on-3 power play with 30 seconds left. The Canes then turned up the heat in the third and delivered two more, and finally a fourth goal with Comrie on the bench for the extra attacker. He's lost two straight this week to the Hurricanes and Rangers and hasn't won since March 25 (0-3-0).

  • Jets' Eric Comrie: Between pipes Thursday

Comrie will start in Carolina on Thursday, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports. With Connor Hellebuyck still sidelined with an illness, Comrie will make his fourth appearance in a row. He's actually been quite solid when called upon this season, as evidenced by his 2.69 GAA and .914 save percentage, but the Jets have been struggling of late, dropping three straight while managing just five goals combined over than span.

  • Jets' Eric Comrie: Can't keep up with Shesterkin

Comrie stopped 31 of 33 shots in Tuesday's 3-0 loss to the Rangers. Comrie held his own in this one, but the Jets failed to solve Igor Shesterkin at the other end. Ryan Strome opened the scoring with a deflection on the power play late in the second and Adam Fox added an insurance marker against Comrie in the third before Strome completed the scoring with an empty-netter. Despite this setback, Comrie's still enjoying a strong season in limited action, with an 8-4-1 record, 2.69 GAA and .914 save percentage.

  • Jets' Eric Comrie: Starting against Rangers

Comrie will be in goal on the road versus the Rangers on Tuesday contrary to earlier reports stating Connor Hellebuyck would get the nod. It's not immediately clear if something came up for Hellebuyck, but it will be a third straight appearance for Comrie after having come on in relief in the Jets' last two contests. On the year, the 26-year-old Comrie has logged just 15 games for Winnipeg in which he is 8-3-1 with a career-best 2.74 GAA. Unless Hellebuyck is dealing with a long-term injury, fantasy players shouldn't be expecting Comrie to suddenly see a bigger share of the minutes heading into the final six games of the season.

  • Jets' Eric Comrie: Picks up overtime win

Comrie stopped 33 of 36 shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blue Jackets. Comrie allowed a late game-tying goal to Oliver Bjorkstrand, but Nikolaj Ehlers secured the win for the Jets just 21 seconds into overtime. The 26-year-old Comrie has won all five of his appearances in 2022, and he's yet to allow more than three goals in a game in that span. Despite the solid play, he sees only rare starts with Connor Hellebuyck entrenched as the Jets' No. 1 netminder. Comrie is 8-2-1 with a 2.39 GAA and a .920 save percentage through 12 appearances. The Jets' next back-to-back is next week with road games in Buffalo on Wednesday and Toronto on Thursday.

  • Jets' Eric Comrie: Between pipes against Jackets

Comrie will tend the twine for Friday's home game against Columbus, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports. Comrie has appeared in just 11 games for the Jets this season but has performed well when called upon with a 7-2-1 record, 2.34 GAA and .920 save percentage. Despite Comrie's solid outings, starter Connor Hellebuyck is a workhorse netminder who figures to be among the top-3 goalies, if not the outright lead, for games played this season. As such, Comrie figures to remain a relative non-factor in fantasy contests.

  • Jets' Eric Comrie: Keeps calm in win

Comrie made 20 saves on 23 shots in a 5-3 win over the Kraken on Thursday. • Jets' Eric Comrie: Helps team break winless streak

Comrie made 28 saves in a 4-1 win over the Blues on Saturday. It was his first start since Dec. 10 and first win since Nov. 5. Comrie made several spectacular saves early in the first when his teammates were sloppy and the Blues came in waves. The Jets then pulled together and played a solid road match, snapping a six-game winless streak (0-4-2). Comrie played well enough to get another start sooner rather than later, and starter Connor Hellebuyck could use more rest. But it remains to be seen how the Jets will deploy their netminders short term.
