  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Provides pair of points

Fiala scored a goal on four shots and added an assist in Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Stars. Fiala nearly had a third straight two-goal game, but his tally in overtime was overturned for goaltender interference. He responded with a shootout tally instead, helping the Kings to secure two points in the end. The 28-year-old has five goals and a helper through three outings in February and has logged five multi-point performances across his last 11 contests. Fiala is up to 21 goals, 35 points, 150 shots on net, 34 hits, 32 PIM and a minus-8 rating through 51 appearances.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Another two-goal game

Fiala scored twice on four shots in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Canadiens. Fiala's first goal was the game-winner, and he added a little insurance a few minutes later in the third period. This performance secured a sixth straight 20-goal campaign for Fiala, who has missed that mark just twice in nine full NHL seasons. The 28-year-old winger has 33 points, 146 shots on net, 34 hits, 32 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 50 appearances this season. He's scored two goals in back-to-back games.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Tallies twice in win

Fiala scored two goals on three shots in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Hurricanes. Fiala was hot late in January and kept it going to begin February with the last two goals for the Kings in this victory. He has four goals and five assists over his last eight contests while continuing to play in a middle-six role and on the first power-play unit. The 28-year-old winger is up to 18 goals, 31 points, 142 shots on net and a minus-10 rating through 49 appearances this season.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Should be good to go

Fiala (illness) took the ice for warmups, indicating he'll be available to play versus the Panthers on Wednesday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports. Fiala was considered a game-time decision, but it looks like he'll be well enough to play. The 28-year-old should be able to fill a middle-six role. It's unclear whether the Kings will go with six or seven defensemen in this contest since Drew Doughty (ankle) is ready to make his season debut.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Finds twine in Monday's loss

Fiala scored a goal on three shots and added three hits in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Red Wings. Fiala kept up his recent surge, which has seen him produce two goals and five assists, as well as 25 shots on net, over his last six contests. The 28-year-old winger is up to 16 goals, 13 helpers, 136 shots, 30 PIM and a minus-10 rating over 46 appearances. He continues to play in a middle-six role and offers strong potential for fantasy managers who can tolerate his streaky production.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Two helpers Saturday

Fiala notched two assists in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Blue Jackets. He helped set up tallies by Phillip Danault in the first period and Quinton Byfield in the second, but it wasn't enough to get the Kings a victory. Fiala is having a productive second half of January, collecting a goal and six points over the last five games, but those six points equal his output from his prior 16 appearances. The streaky winger is up to 15 goals and 28 points over 45 contests this season.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Registers helper in win

Fiala logged an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Panthers. Fiala has a goal and three helpers over his last four outings. His shot attempt was redirected in by Adrian Kempe at 13:12 of the third period for the game-winning tally. Fiala has often run streaky this season, so it's encouraging to see him get some offense going. He's now at 15 goals, 11 helpers, 131 shots on net, 28 hits, 30 PIM and a minus-9 rating through 44 appearances. Fiala started this game on the third line but took shifts with Kempe and Anze Kopitar later on -- if that move to the top line sticks, Fiala could be an impact player for a while.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Picks up power-play assist

Fiala notched a power-play assist and 10 shots on goal in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Kraken. Fiala accounted for one-third of the Kings' shots, but he wasn't able to contribute anything more than a secondary helper on Adrian Kempe's goal. With three points over his last two outings, it looks like Fiala may be heating up. The winger is at 15 goals, 10 assists, 13 power-play points, 124 shots on net, 30 PIM and a minus-9 rating through 42 appearances this season.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Busts slump with two points

Fiala scored a power-play goal on three shots, logged an assist and added two PIM in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Canucks. Fiala had been held off the scoresheet in his last five games. He also took a penalty in the second period, but he was able to score just after exiting the box after a Vancouver penalty created a 4-on-4 situation that became a power play for the Kings. Fiala can't afford to take bad penalties -- it has led to him getting benched at times, especially when his offense falters. The winger has 15 tallies, nine assists, 12 power-play points, 114 shots on net and 30 PIM through 41 contests this season.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Finds twine Sunday

Fiala scored a goal on five shots and went minus-2 in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Flyers. Fiala opened the scoring at 5:14 of the first period. The 28-year-old has scored four times over the last five games. His ice time hasn't been lower than 17:56 in any game in December, so while he's on the third line on paper, he's seeing a much larger role than that designation suggests. The winger is up to 14 goals, eight assists, 97 shots on net, 26 PIM and a minus-11 rating through 35 appearances this season.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Nets lone goal on power play

Fiala scored a power-play goal on four shots and added two PIM in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Capitals. Fiala giveth and Fiala taketh away -- his tally tied the game at 1-1 on the Kings' lone power play of the game. However, he committed their only penalty as well, and the Capitals cashed in for the game-winning goal. Through nine outings in December, Fiala has four goals, one assist and 28 shots on net. The talented winger is up to 21 points (11 on the power play) with 91 shots on net, 26 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 33 appearances, mainly in a middle-six role.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Lights lamp twice in win

Fiala scored two goals in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Flyers. The veteran winger is out of head coach Jim Hiller's doghouse and back in a prominent role. Fiala has five goals and seven points over the last 10 games, and on the season he's up to 12 goals and 20 points in 31 appearances. There's more meat on the bone for Fiala, as despite a regular spot on the Kings' top power-play unit, he hasn't found the back of the net with the man advantage since early November, with his drought standing at 18 games.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Nets game-winner Tuesday

Fiala scored a goal on four shots in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Islanders. Fiala has contributed three goals and three assists over his last eight games. The 28-year-old winger remains listed on the third line, but a large power-play role has helped him approach top-six ice time, including leading the Kings' forwards with 19:39 in Tuesday's win. He's up to 10 goals, eight assists, 74 shots on net and 22 PIM through 27 outings. His flaws are much easier to deal with when he's being productive, so he's a fairly safe fantasy option currently.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Posts power-play assist

Fiala notched a power-play assist and four shots on goal in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Wild. Fiala has two goals and three assists over his last seven contests, though that's an uptick that followed a six-game point drought. The 28-year-old winger is running streaky, and it doesn't help that he's been planted in the bottom six at even strength. That assignment hasn't been as bad with head coach Jim Hiller turning to seven-defensemen lineups recently, freeing up more ice time for many forwards. Fiala is at 17 points (10 on the power play), 70 shots on net, 16 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-7 rating over 26 appearances.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Just four points in last 11 games

Fiala scored a goal and added an assist in a 5-2 win over Ottawa. The assist came on the power play. November has not been kind to Fiala. He has just four points (two goals, two assists) in his last 11 games after he put up 12 points in his first 13 contests. Fiala has put up 230 points, including 85 goals, in 233 games over the course of the last three seasons, so he's too good for this to continue much longer. You may be able to acquire him in a trade if his current manager is frustrated with Fiala's performance. And that would put his bounceback onto your roster.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Snags power-play assist

Fiala registered a power-play assist in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Kraken. Fiala snapped a six-game point drought when he set up a Quinton Byfield tally in the second period. It's been a tough first quarter of the campaign for Fiala, who has gotten into the doghouse with head coach Jim Hiller over penalties. Putting up offense is Fiala's one path to productivity, so it's not a good sign when he goes streaky. The winger is at seven goals, six helpers, 55 shots on net and 16 PIM through 20 contests overall.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Nets power-play goal Tuesday

Fiala scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Wild. Fiala scored his seventh goal of the season -- and the eventual game-winner -- late in the second period with a snap shot following set-ups from Anze Kopitar and Alex Laferriere. Fiala endured a slow start to the season but has been picking things up of late, scoring in three of his last four contests and currently riding a five-game point streak -- with three goals and four helpers during that stretch.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Scores in Monday's win

Fiala scored a goal on three shots in Monday's 3-0 win over the Predators. Fiala has five points over three games since he was scratched for missing a team meeting. More importantly for his stability in the lineup, he hasn't taken a penalty in that span. The winger is up to six goals, five helpers, 36 shots on net, eight hits, 12 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 12 appearances. He'll likely continue to fill a second-line role with a spot on the first power-play unit.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Two helpers in shootout loss

Fiala picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to Chicago. The 28-year-old winger has delivered back-to-back two-point performances since his benching Oct. 29, so it seems safe to say Fiala has received the message from coach Jim Hiller. That brief visit to the doghouse aside, Fiala's had a productive start to the season, racking up five goals and 10 points in his 11 games -- including three goals and six points on the power play.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Responds well after discipline

Fiala scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Golden Knights. Fiala had drawn head coach Jim Hiller's ire twice recently -- he took reckless penalties Saturday before missing a team meeting Tuesday that led to him being scratched. As usual, that one game off was all it took, and Fiala played a key role in the Kings' comprehensive win over Vegas. The 28-year-old has five goals, three assists, 29 shots on net, eight hits, 12 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 10 appearances. He's not particularly good defensively, but Fiala should be a lock for a middle-six role as long as he can avoid penalties.
