Kirkland's gone scoreless through seven top-level appearances this season.

The third-round pick will likely join AHL Milwaukee to start the 2016-17 campaign, but if he can continue to write his name onto the scoresheet with consistency, he could make an appearance in the NHL sooner rather than later.
