MacInnis signed a one-year deal with German team Alder Mannheim on Tuesday. MacInnis spent last primarily with AHL Rochester for which he garnered 11 goals and 16 assists in 49 contests. The 26-year-old center did appear in one game for the Sabres last year in which he logged 10:00 of ice time and recorded two shots. At this point, it's hard to see the St. Louis native ever becoming a full-time NHL option and could close out his playing days overseas.... See More ... See Less

Sabres' Ryan MacInnis: Waived by Sabres
MacInnis was waived by Buffalo on Tuesday, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports. MacInnis has drawn into 26 games with Columbus over the past two seasons, so he'll likely get a look with the Sabres at some point during the upcoming campaign, but this move suggests he'll start the season in the minors.... Sabres' Ryan MacInnis: Buffalo bound
MacInnis signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Sabres on Friday. MacInnis will likely compete for a fourth-line role in Buffalo. He appeared in 26 games with the Blue Jackets over the past two seasons, totaling a paltry one assist without a goal.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Ryan MacInnis: Reassigned to taxi squad
MacInnis was dropped to the taxi squad Monday. MacInnis averaged just 10:01 of ice time in the team's last six contests in which he registered four shots, 11 hits and one block. The center reassignment is likely just temporary and he figures to be back on the active roster ahead of Tuesday's tilt with Tampa Bay, though Zac Dalpe could also be an option for a fourth-line role.... Blue Jackets' Ryan MacInnis: Jumps to taxi squad
MacInnis was promoted to the Blue Jackets' taxi squad Thursday. MacInnis will likely continue to shuffle between levels throughout the season, but he isn't expected to have a regular NHL role in 2020-21. Blue Jackets' Ryan MacInnis: Placed on waivers
MacInnis was placed on waivers Monday, Blue Jackets team reporter Jeff Svoboda reports. The 24-year-old played in 10 games last season for Columbus, managing only one assist, but he was more productive for AHL Cleveland, scoring seven goals and 30 points in 45 contests. The Jackets' offseason additions up front left no room for MacInnis on the NHL roster, but if he clears waivers he'll return to the Monsters and wait for injuries to open up a spot for him.... Blue Jackets' Ryan MacInnis: Inks two-way deal
MacInnis signed a one-year, two-way contract extension with the Blue Jackets on Thursday. MacInnis spent most of the 2019-20 campaign in the minors, picking up seven goals and 30 points in 45 games, but he also made 10 appearances with the big club, notching a single helper over that span. The 2014 second-round pick will likely have a similar role in 2020-21, so he won't be a viable fantasy option.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Ryan MacInnis: Returning to minors
MacInnis was reassigned to AHL Cleveland on Saturday. MacInnis played two out of three games during his most recent stint with the big club. The 23-year-old will head back to Cleveland to get some regular playing time, but should be near the top of the call-up list when the Blue Jackets need forward depth.... See More ... See Less -
