Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Goal streak at six games, nine snipes
Draisaitl scored two goals in Saturday's 7-2 win or loss against Toronto.
They were his 11th and 12th of the season, and they extended his goal streak to six games and nine snipes (five assists). The first came 4v4, a place where Draisaitl and the Oilers typically act like menaces to opposing teams. The second came on the power play, where the Oilers dominate. Draisaitl moved past Minnesota's Kirill Kaprizov for the NHL goal lead, with the Wild playing the late game Saturday.

Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Racks up five more points
Draisaitl scored a pair of power-play goals on four shots and added three assists (one on the power play) in Thursday's 6-5 shootout win over the Hurricanes.
Draisaitl and Connor McDavid posted matching scoring lines to help the Oilers prevail in one of their toughest games of the year. The five points were a season high for Draisaitl, who has multiple points in six of 10 contests so far. He's racked up 10 goals, 11 helpers, 36 shots, six hits and a plus-14 rating. Head coach Mike Babcock finally has his preferred top six available, but it doesn't look like splitting up Draisaitl and McDavid will happen any time soon considering how they've dominated the opening stages of 2026-27.

Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Records two power-play goals
Draisaitl scored two power-play goals on four shots in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Wild.
Draisaitl scored twice in a span of 1:06 across the first intermission, bringing his season total to eight goals. The German center has scored five times over his last four appearances, highlighting his ability to produce goals in bunches, and he has cracked the scoresheet in all but one of his nine appearances to date. His continued partnership with Connor McDavid on Edmonton's top power-play unit remains a significant fantasy advantage, particularly given the Oilers' success in those situations. He has seven points (five goals, two assists) during his ongoing four-game point streak.

Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Produces pair of points
Draisaitl scored a goal, added an assist and went plus-4 in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Mammoth.
Draisaitl has scored in three straight games, and he's added two assists in that span. The 30-year-old is still ceding the spotlight to Connor McDavid, but both forwards have thrived on a line together to start the year. Through eight outings, Draisaitl has six goals, eight helpers, 28 shots on net and a plus-15 rating.

Head coach Mike Babcock has stuck with Draisaitl alongside Connor McDavid to start the year despite numerous injuries to wingers, which has led to the Oilers having a great top line and little else. Regardless of role, Draisaitl is going to be productive.

Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Goal, assist in win
Draisaitl scored a goal on three shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Kings.
Draisaitl saw his point streak snapped Saturday versus the Sharks, but he bounced back well. This was his third multi-point effort of the campaign. The German superstar has four goals, seven assists, 24 shots on net, four hits and a plus-11 rating over six appearances this season. With most of his playing time coming at right wing to open the year, he should have some extra positional flexibility in most fantasy formats.

Draisaitl hasn't gotten quite as much buzz as Connor McDavid or Evan Bouchard to start the year, but he's been virtually just as important. Draisaitl has three goals, six assists, 17 shots on net, three hits and a plus-8 rating over four contests this season.

Draisaitl is also playing on the right wing on Edmonton's top line, so he could gain positional versatility in fantasy this year if he continues to stick in that spot while the Oilers deal with numerous injuries.

Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Three-point burst in win
Draisaitl scored twice on five shots, dished an assist and went plus-3 in Thursday's 9-7 win over the Canucks.
One of Draisaitl's goals came on the power play. The 30-year-old played alongside Connor McDavid in this contest as the injury-riddled Oilers opted to put one dominant line together. The offense is humming along so far, and Draisaitl has four points and 10 shots on net over two contests. He's a lock to be in fantasy lineups and should continue to produce at a high level as long as he can avoid injuries.

Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Ready for 2026-27 campaign
Draisaitl feels healthy and is hopeful for the start of the 2026-27 campaign, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports Friday.
Draisaitl was limited to 65 regular-season appearances during the 2025-26 campaign, his lowest mark over a full season during his NHL career. After missing the final month of the regular season due to a lower-body injury last year, he returned for the start of the postseason and recorded points in each of the Oilers' six first-round matchups against Anaheim. Draisaitl said that Edmonton's first-round exit gave him additional time to recover during the offseason, and he hopes that new head coach Mike Babcock will help the team find additional cohesion during the 2026-27 season. Across his 65 regular-season appearances last year, Draisaitl generated 35 goals, 62 assists, 34 hits, 26 PIM and 15 blocked shots while averaging 21:35 of ice time, and he remains one of the league's top fantasy options heading into this year.
