  • Capitals' Luke Philp: Hits waiver wire

    Philp was placed on waivers by Washington on Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Philp spent all of last season with AHL Rockford, and he'll likely spend most of this year in the minors, assuming he clears waivers. The 28-year-old has made just three NHL appearances, recording an assist and four hits while averaging 11:41 of ice time with Chicago during the 2022-23 season.

  • Capitals' Luke Philp: Snags one-year pact

    Philp secured a one-year, two-way contract with Washington on Tuesday. Philp spent the entirety of the 2023-24 campaign in the minors with AHL Rockford, registering two goals and four assists in just 15 regular-season contests.
