  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Scores twice in win

Dubois scored a pair of goals, including one on the power play, in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Blue Jackets. This was Dubois' second multi-goal game of the campaign. The 25-year-old center has had a rough first year with the Kings, but he's got six points over six outings in February, which suggests he could be turning a corner. He's up to 13 goals, 26 points, 101 shots on net, 61 hits, 46 PIM and a minus-14 rating through 54 outings overall. Dubois remains on the third line, though the Kings have decent depth, so it'll be up to him to keep getting involved in the scoring.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Two helpers in Boston

Dubois picked up two assists while adding four shots on net, five hits, two PIM and a blocked shot during Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Bruins. The 25-year-old center sparked a rally from a 3-1 deficit by having a hand in tallies by Vladislav Gavrikov late in the second period and Alex Laferriere early in the third, setting the stage for a wild finish. It was Dubois' first multi-point performance since Jan. 15, snapping a slump that had seen him manage just two goals and three points over his prior 11 contests. On the season, Dubois has only 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) in 52 games with a minus-16 rating, a disappointing showing in his first campaign with the Kings.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Tallies opening goal

Dubois scored a power-play goal on two shots and added four hits in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Oilers. Dubois opened the scoring at 2:38 of the second period. His last two goals have come on the power play, though that's all of his offense over his last nine contests. The 25-year-old is one of the players with the most to gain under interim head coach Jim Hiller, who coached his first game as Todd McLellan's replacement Saturday. Dubois is up to 11 goals, 21 points, 89 shots on net, 40 hits, 36 PIM and a minus-16 rating through 49 appearances, so he's got plenty of room for improvement over the final two months of the campaign.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Reaches 10-goal mark

Dubois scored a power-play goal on two shots, doled out two hits and added two PIM in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Sabres. Dubois snapped a four-game point drought with his first-period marker, which put the Kings ahead 3-1. While he's scored three times in January, Dubois is still searching for consistency while toiling on the Kings' third line. He's at 10 goals, 20 points, 85 shots on net, 31 hits, 32 PIM and a minus-14 rating through 45 appearances this season.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Two-point effort

Dubois registered a goal and an assist in a 5-2 win over the Hurricanes on Monday. After back-to-back 60-plus point seasons with the Jets, Dubois has struggled to produce points for the Kings, putting up only 19 points in 40 games this year. However, he was able to score his ninth goal of the season Monday to put the Kings up 4-1 and essentially put the game away for his team. The 2016 third overall pick is only averaging 15:49 TOI and playing on the third line so it will be hard to trust his production going forward.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Benefits from roster shuffle

Dubois recorded a pair of assists and two shots on goal in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Red Wings. Head coach Todd McLellan pulled out the line blender, with Dubois getting Adrian Kempe on his wing for this contest. It paid off, as Dubois earned his first multi-point effort since Nov. 25 by assisting on both of Kempe's tallies. In the 15 games in between, Dubois had just two goals and one assist. The 25-year-old center has 16 points, 69 shots on net and a minus-5 rating through 35 appearances this season. So far, he hasn't looked worth the bounty of players or the $8.5 million cap hit the Kings committed to get him out of Winnipeg in the summer, but Thursday could be the spark he needed to get going on offense.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Lights lamp Wednesday

Dubois scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Sharks. Dubois has scored in back-to-back games for the first time since Oct. 17-19. The center gave the Kings a 3-1 lead in the second period. Dubois is up to 14 points, 59 shots on net, 20 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 31 outings. Barring injuries to members of the top six, he's likely to continue playing as the third-line center.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Nets goal Saturday

Dubois scored a goal on four shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Flames. Dubois snapped a 13-game goal drought Saturday. The 25-year-old center had just three helpers with 21 shots on goal and a minus-3 rating in that span. His first year with the Kings has not gone to plan, as Dubois has failed to provide much of a challenge to Phillip Danault's second-line role. Dubois is at 13 points, 57 shots on net, 20 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 30 appearances while playing mostly on the third line.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Generates assist against old team

Dubois managed an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Jets. Dubois passed the puck to Alex Laferriere, who banked in a shot off goalie Connor Hellebuyck for the Kings' second tally. The assist ended a six-game point drought for Dubois, and it came against his former team. The 25-year-old's first year with the Kings hasn't been all that special -- he's at a mediocre 12 points with 47 shots on net, 16 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 26 appearances. Dubois has filled a third-line center role this season and could see his ice time drop if he can't provide more consistent offense.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Scores in big win

Dubois scored a goal on four shots and added two PIM in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Blues. After leaving Thursday's game versus the Panthers early, Dubois was fortunate to avoid a significant lower-body injury. The 25-year-old didn't miss any time and was able to contribute a goal in Saturday's victory. He's off to a slow start in 2023-24 with nine points through 16 outings, but he remains a key part of a deep offense. He's added 32 shots on net, nine hits, 10 PIM and a minus-2 rating.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Clear to play

Dubois (lower body) will play Saturday versus the Blues, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports. Dubois took a nasty spill into the post in Thursday's game versus the Panthers, but his initial tests came back clean. The 25-year-old won't end up missing a game, returning to his usual middle-six role for this contest. He'll be flanked by Alex Laferriere and Arthur Kaliyev in Saturday's tilt.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Initial tests encouraging

Dubois (lower body) underwent testing Friday and the results were "a lot better than it could have been," coach Todd McLellan told Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site. Dubois sustained the injury during Thursday's 2-1 win over Florida. He has four goals and eight points in 15 contests this season. If Dubois can't play Saturday versus St. Louis, then Blake Lizotte might get increased responsibilities.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Exits in third period

Dubois sustained a lower-body injury in the third period of Thursday's game versus the Panthers, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports. Dubois crashed into the post and appeared to hurt his left leg. An update on his status should be available prior to Saturday's game versus the Blues. If Dubois misses time, Blake Lizotte and Phillip Danault will likely be asked to cover larger roles in his absence.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Scores on power play

Dubois scored a power-play goal and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Golden Knights. Dubois snapped his seven-game goal drought with a third-period marker. The 25-year-old center had been limited to three assists in that span. His first season with the Kings has gotten off to a middling start -- Dubois has seven points, 23 shots on net, nine hits, eight PIM and a minus-1 rating through 12 appearances after posting 60-plus points in consecutive campaigns.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Chips in with helper

Dubois posted an assist in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Maple Leafs. Dubois has a helper in back-to-back contests after setting up Andreas Englund's first-period tally. It's been a somewhat inconsistent start to the year for Dubois -- he's had a pair of two-game skids while getting on the scoresheet in his other five outings. Overall, the 25-year-old has three goals, three helpers, 21 shots on net, six hits, eight PIM and a plus-1 rating through nine games.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Records helper in loss

Dubois notched an assist, four shots on goal and two PIM in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Bruins. Dubois set up Alex Laferriere's first NHL goal at 6:28 of the second period. The helper was Dubois' first with the Kings, to go with his three goals through five outings. The 25-year-old center also has 15 shots on net, four PIM, three hits and a minus-1 rating while playing in a middle-six role to start the campaign. The Kings have kept him at center so far -- he would occasionally move to left wing during his time with the Jets.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Two quick tallies in win

Dubois scored two goals just 12 seconds apart, the second being the game-winner, in Thursday's 7-3 victory over the Wild. With the score already tied 2-2, Dubios completed a frenetic first period by striking twice inside the final minute -- the first coming on a near breakaway on which he got just enough of the puck to squeeze it past Marc-Andre Fleury, and the second coming when Dubois went top shelf from the slot after a Wild giveaway. Dubois has three goals in four games for his only points to begin his Kings tenure, and if he's truly comfortable on the west coast, the 2016 third overall pick could soar past the 25-goal, 60-point range he reached in each of his two full campaigns with the Jets with LA this year.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Scores against former team

Dubois scored a goal on three shots in the Kings' 5-1 win over the Jets on Tuesday. Dubois recorded his first point as a King, and it came at the expense of his former team when he banged home a rebound in front of Connor Hellebuyck. The former Jet should continue to hold a spot in the Kings' top-six forward core and top power-play unit.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Skating on line with Fiala

Dubois has opened training camp practicing on a line with Kevin Fiala and Arthur Kaliyev, per Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider. Dubois is gearing up for his first season with the Kings after being acquired from Winnipeg over the summer. He had 27 goals and 63 points in 73 contests with the Jets in 2022-23. While Anze Kopitar is expected to occupy the top-line role in LA this year, getting to play alongside Fiala, who recorded 99 goals and 251 points in 265 appearances over his last four campaigns, has the potential to work out great for Dubois.

  • Kings' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Traded to LA

Dubois signed an eight-year, $68 million contract and was subsequently traded from the Jets to the Kings in exchange for Alex Iafallo, Rasmus Kupari, Gabriel Vilardi and a 2024 second-round pick Tuesday. The Kings are preparing for a future without Anze Kopitar, who will turn 36 years old prior to the start of the 2023-224 campaign, and while Dubois will likely center the team's second line during the upcoming campaign, LA should be able to slot the former Jet in as its No. 1 center whenever Kopitar decides to hang up his skates. Dubois picked up 27 goals and a career-high 63 points through 73 games with Winnipeg in 2022-23, numbers he should be able to replicate or even improve upon on a Kings team which will have playoff aspirations next year, giving him the potential to be a high-end complementary piece at forward for fantasy managers in 2023-24. Look for Dubois to log top-six minutes at even strength while seeing time with LA's top power-play unit next season.
