  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Claims win in first BoA appearance

Cooley stopped 36 of 39 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Oilers. Cooley made his first Battle of Alberta appearance and protected a 4-3 lead that Ryan Lomberg's goal created at 6:44 of the third period. The 28-year-old Cooley has gone 3-2-1 over his last six outings, allowing just 12 goals in that span. For the season, he's up to 7-6-3 with a 2.27 GAA and a .921 save percentage over 19 appearances. Cooley is still the backup to Dustin Wolf, but the duo has found some success alternating starts in recent weeks. It remains to be seen if that pattern will continue after the Olympic break.

  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Guarding crease against Oilers

Cooley will be in goal at home versus Edmonton on Wednesday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports Cooley has a three-game losing streak despite posting a decent 2.34 GAA over that stretch. While the backstop's ratios have been solid this season -- a 2.22 GAA and .921 save percentage in 18 outings -- he's not getting enough work to make him a strong fantasy candidate outside of some spot starts.

  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Beaten three times Thursday

Cooley stopped 20 of 23 shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Wild. The fourth goal was an empty-netter. Cooley has lost each of his past three starts, but win-loss record aside, his performances haven't been all that bad. He has allowed three or fewer goals in each of his last six starts dating back to Dec. 20, going 3-2-1 with a 2.00 GAA and an impressive .933 save percentage over that stretch. Cooley should remain in a backup role behind Dustin Wolf, so his fantasy upside will be matchup-based in a best-case scenario, but his recent form suggests he's worth a look in specific situations when he's confirmed as the starter.

  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Set to start Thursday

Cooley wasn't on the ice for Thursday's optional morning skate, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports, indicating that he's slated to start on the road against Minnesota. Cooley has alternated starts with Dustin Wolf for most of January, and that trend should continue during Thursday's matchup. Cooley has been solid over the past several weeks, going 2-1-1 with a 1.50 GAA and .950 save percentage across his last four outings.

  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Drawing start against Washington

Cooley will start Friday's home game against the Capitals, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. A previous report from Steinberg indicated that Dustin Wolf would draw the start Friday, but Cooley will ultimately draw the start, continuing the timeshare that the two netminders have had over the past two weeks. Across his last three starts, Cooley has gone 2-0-1 with a 1.33 GAA and .952 save percentage.

  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Earns win Thursday

Cooley stopped 22 of 23 shots in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks. Cooley was steady aside from giving up a goal to Nick Foligno at 2:38 of the first period. The 28-year-old Cooley has started two of the last three games, winning both of those outings while allowing just two goals on 51 shots. For the season, he's at a 6-4-2 record with a 2.20 GAA and a .921 save percentage. Dustin Wolf will still get most of the starts, but Cooley has been excellent in the backup role when he gets the nod.

  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Sharp in fifth win

Cooley made 27 saves in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Penguins. Both offenses looked sluggish in the afternoon contest, but Cooley was the sharper netminder, with the only puck to get past him coming on a Yegor Chinakhov one-timer midway through the second period. Cooley has been seeing little action behind Dustin Wolf, making only four appearances since the beginning of December. On the season, Cooley's just 5-4-2 in 14 outings despite an impressive 2.29 GAA and .918 save percentage.

  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Set to face Pittsburgh

Cooley is set to start on the road against Pittsburgh on Saturday, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. Cooley is set to make his first start since Dec. 20 when he stopped 34 of 37 shots en route to a 6-3 win over Vegas. He's been used sparingly this season behind Dustin Wolf, but Cooley has held his own when called upon, posting a 4-4-2 record, 2.40 GAA and .914 save percentage across 13 appearances this season. Pittsburgh is tied for eighth in goals per game with 3.29, and the Penguins are on a six-game winning streak in which they've recorded at least four goals in each game.

Cooley stopped 23 of 27 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Red Wings. Cooley was making his first start since Dec. 2, when he allowed four goals on 16 shots in a loss to Nashville, and the outcome was identical this time around. The 28-year-old goaltender has won just one of his last five appearances, going 1-2-1 with a 3.05 GAA and a subpar .883 save percentage in that span.

  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Pulled after two periods

Cooley allowed four goals on 16 shots Tuesday before he was replaced after two periods by Dustin Wolf, who made 11 saves in a 5-1 loss to Nashville. Cooley had been hot leading into Tuesday -- he was 3-0-1 in four starts since Nov. 19 -- but the Flames helped make him look human against the Preds. Cooley is still 3-3-2 with a 2.17 GAA and a .920 save percentage in eight starts (11 appearances) this season. He will go into the record book as the goalie who allowed Steven Stamkos' 1,200th NHL point, a tap-in blocker side that stood as the winner.

  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Starting Sunday

Cooley will start Sunday's game against the Hurricanes, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. With Sunday's start, Cooley will start back-to-back games. The 28-year-old has outplayed Dustin Wolf, so the workload in Calgary's crease may be starting to shift more in Cooley's favor. Cooley carries 3-2-1 record, 2.00 GAA and .930 save percentage, and he has won three straight decisions.

  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Facing Stars

Cooley will be between the home pipes versus Dallas on Saturday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. Cooley picked up his first win of the campaign in a 6-2 victory over Buffalo on Wednesday. He is 1-2-1 with a 1.80 GAA and a .935 save percentage over six appearances this season. • Flames' Devin Cooley: Nabs first win of season

Cooley turned aside 28 shots in Wednesday's 6-2 win over Buffalo. The 28-year-old netminder collected his first win of the season with a sharp performance that included denying the Sabres on all 13 of their shots in the third period as the Flames began to pull away. Cooley has made only six appearances this season while working behind Dustin Wolf, going 1-2-1, but his usage could increase considering he has yet to allow more than three goals in any of those outings, resulting in a 1.80 GAA and .935 save percentage.

  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Gets no help in loss

Cooley allowed one goal on 18 shots in Sunday's 2-0 loss to the Wild. Cooley made his fifth appearance (third start) of the season, but he once again didn't get enough support from the Flames' offense. They've scored just four goals over his three starts this season. Cooley is 0-2-1 with a 1.75 GAA and a .935 save percentage in 2025-26, but he won't offer much of a challenge to Dustin Wolf's status as the Flames' starter. Despite the good numbers, Cooley is not a strong fantasy option, as he is unlikely to rack up many wins behind a weak offense.

  • Flames' Devin Cooley: Loses team debut

Cooley stopped 29 of 31 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Mammoth. The third goal was an empty-netter. While he took the loss in his Flames debut, he kept the game from getting out of hand. Cooley won't be expected to play much behind burgeoning star goalie Dustin Wolf, but performances like this one should help Cooley stay with the big club. Expect Wolf back between the pipes for Saturday's game in Vegas.
