Predators' Juuso Parssinen: Can't finish Thursday's game
Parssinen (upper body) didn't finish Thursday's game versus the Sharks after an awkward collision near the boards, Corey Masisak of The Athletic reports. The Predators didn't provide an update on Parssinen during the game, but it's worrying he didn't return after taking what appeared to be head or neck contact on the play. More information on his status should be available before Sunday's game in Arizona.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Juuso Parssinen: Provides two assists Tuesday

Predators' Juuso Parssinen: Adds two assists in win
Parssinen picked up a pair of helpers in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Devils. Parssinen logged both assists in the first period, setting up a Cody Glass power-play goal before setting up Cole Smith's tally later in the frame. Parssinen has put together a solid rookie campaign with 21 points (five goals, 16 assists) through his first 34 games. The 21-year-old forward has added 61 hits while playing a middle-six role for the Predators this season.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Juuso Parssinen: Atones for penalty
Parssinen scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Monday's 2-1 win over the Flames. Parssinen took a hooking penalty in the first period, but he quickly made up for it by scoring 10 seconds after he exited the sin bin. That goal held up as the game-winner, and it stretched his point streak to seven contests (two goals, seven assists). The rookie forward has impressive so far with five tallies, 18 points, 38 shots on net, 56 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 29 contests. His penalty Monday was just his second of the season -- Parssinen's discipline won't help in most fantasy formats, but it will keep the 21-year-old in the good graces of head coach John Hynes.... Predators' Juuso Parssinen: Point streak at six games
Parssinen produced a power-play assist, two shots on goal, two hits and a minus-3 rating in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Sabres. Parssinen has an active six-game point streak, logging a goal and seven helpers in that span. This was his second power-play assist during the streak. The 21-year-old forward has bounced around the lineup at times, but he's seeing the bulk of his even-strength time on the top line while also playing on the top power-play unit, so there's fantasy upside to be had. The seventh-round pick from 2019 has 17 points (six on the power play), 35 shots on net, 56 hits and a minus-1 rating through 28 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Juuso Parssinen: Two points against Montreal
Parssinen scored a goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens. He helped set up a Filip Forsberg tally early in the second period and potted his own goal late in the third as he snuck a puck through heavy traffic in front of Sam Montembeault. Parssinen snapped a 23-game goal drought with the performance but he did extend his point streak to five games, a stretch in which the 21-year-old rookie has six helpers in addition to his fourth goal of the season.... Predators' Juuso Parssinen: Nabs helper in loss
Parssinen supplied a primary assist in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Maple Leafs. The Predators have instilled a lot of faith in Parssinen, as the rookie is operating on the top line and No. 1 power-play unit. However, the bad news is that Nashville has struggled offensively -- it ranks 27th in goals per game (2.75) -- and more growing pains should be expected from Parssinen as the Finn adjusts to hockey's highest level of competition.... Predators' Juuso Parssinen: Picks up two helpers Thursday
Parssinen registered two assists in a 5-3 win against Carolina on Thursday. Parssinen's first helper was recorded while the Predators had the man advantage. He has three goals and 11 points in 23 games, including five power-play points. Parssinen went into Thursday's action averaging 2:10 of ice time with the man advantage, and that role should enable him to make decent offensive contributions for as long as the 21-year-old has it.... Parssinen, who scored on his first NHL shot Saturday, collected his first two-goal game and three-point effort Thursday. The 2019 seventh-round draft pick also was credited with a first-period helper, his first at the NHL level. In three games since being recalled from Milwaukee of the AHL, Parssinen has collected four points. He contributed three shots, two hits and a plus-2 rating Thursday. His second tally, coming off his first power-play point, gave the Predators a 5-3 lead and proved to be the game-winner, his first.... See More ... See Less
