  • Ducks' Tyson Hinds: Signs two-year contract

Hinds signed a two-year, $1.8 million contract with Anaheim on Tuesday, per PuckPedia. Hinds appeared in six regular-season games with the Ducks in 2025-26, including his NHL debut against Calgary on April 4. During that six-game span, he registered nine shots on goal, 10 blocked shots and six hits, but he didn't earn a point. However, he had one assist, one shot on net, five blocked shots and 17 hits in nine playoff outings. Hinds will probably be a regular in the Anaheim lineup during the 2026-27 campaign.

  • Ducks' Tyson Hinds: Gets first playoff point in Game 3

Hinds notched an assist in Friday's 7-4 win over the Oilers in Game 3. Hinds played in the last six games of the regular season and has remained in the lineup over Olen Zellweger for the first three games of the playoffs. Hinds hasn't found the scoresheet yet at the NHL level in the regular season, but he has one in the playoffs now. He's seeing limited usage in a third-pairing role, so it's unlikely he'll be a major contributor on offense. Hinds had 19 points in 62 AHL regular-season contests, and with San Diego getting eliminated from the minor-league playoffs Friday, Hinds is here to stay for the remainder of the Ducks' postseason run.

  • Ducks' Tyson Hinds: Recalled from AHL

Hinds was called up from AHL San Diego on Saturday. Hinds will provide the Ducks with a depth option while Pavel Mintyukov (lower body) and Radko Gudas (lower body) deal with injuries. Hinds had five goals, 14 assists and a plus-16 rating over 62 AHL games prior to his recall.

  • Ducks' Tyson Hinds: Pockets two helpers in Gulls' win

Hinds recorded a pair of assists in AHL San Diego's 7-0 win over Abbotsford on Saturday. Hinds has had a terrible start to 2025-26, as these were his first two points in nine contests. He's added 14 shots on net and a plus-4 rating so far. He's likely not the first option for a call-up should the Ducks need defensive reinforcements -- Tristan Luneau, Noah Warren and Stian Solberg are all in the mix as well.

  • Ducks' Tyson Hinds: Bumped to AHL

Hinds was reassigned to AHL San Diego on Thursday. Hinds' demotion indicates he has likely missed out on making the Opening Night roster. While the 22-year-old is poised to begin 2025-26 with the Gulls, he could be an option for a call-up if injuries arise with the big club.

  • Ducks' Tyson Hinds: Dropped to minors

Hinds was assigned to AHL San Diego on Saturday. Hinds was a healthy scratch in Anaheim's last two games. He hasn't logged any playing time in the NHL this season yet. Hinds has two goals and one assist in 16 AHL outings during the 2024-25 campaign. If Urho Vaakanainen (upper body) remains unavailable, Hinds could be recalled from AHL San Diego ahead of Sunday's matchup versus Ottawa.

  • Ducks' Tyson Hinds: Returns to AHL

Hinds was reassigned to AHL San Diego on Tuesday, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports. Hinds came on the Ducks' road trip to serve as an extra defenseman, but he was sent back to the AHL before the second half of a back-to-back when it was clear his services wouldn't be needed. The 21-year-old will have to wait for another opportunity to make his NHL debut.
