  • Jets' Dominic Toninato: Finds twine Sunday

Toninato scored a goal in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Kraken. Toninato was able to snap his 15-game goal drought before the end of the season. In that cold spell, he had just one assist. The 28-year-old was a regular in the Jets' lineup for the first time in his career, leading to personal-best numbers with seven goals, 14 points, 44 shots on net and 92 hits through 77 contests. He's still unlikely to serve as more than a bottom-six option going forward, and Toninato's scoring numbers were a bit fortunate thanks to four shorthanded points.

  • Jets' Dominic Toninato: Pair of points in win

Toninato scored a goal, dished a shorthanded assist and added two hits in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blue Jackets. Toninato's pair of points came in the first period -- he scored the opening tally and set up Kyle Connor for a shortie. This ended a 13-game point drought for Toninato, who had been held off the scoresheet since Feb. 25. The 28-year-old has 12 points, 38 shots on net, 79 hits and 20 PIM in 61 contests. Four of his points this season have come shorthanded.

  • Jets' Dominic Toninato: Nabs shorthanded assist

Toninato recorded a shorthanded assist and four hits in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche. In his last five games, Toninato has two goals and two assists, and all but one of those goals has come with the Jets shorthanded. The 27-year-old set up an Adam Lowry tally in Friday's loss. Toninato's up to 10 points, 67 hits, 34 shots on net and 18 PIM in 47 contests overall this season. He's likely earned himself an everyday role in the lineup, especially with his strong play lately, but his recent scoring pace probably won't last much longer.

  • Jets' Dominic Toninato: Tips in lone goal

Toninato scored a goal in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Flames. Toninato redirected a Neal Pionk shot for the Jets' lone goal of the game. This gave Toninato a three-game point streak (two goals, one assist). The 27-year-old has nine points, 29 shots on net, 63 hits and an even plus-minus rating in 45 outings this season. While he's heating up on offense, his fourth-line role suggests this scoring burst won't last much longer.

  • Jets' Dominic Toninato: Earns another shorthanded point

Toninato delivered a shorthanded assist in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers. The fourth-line center is starting to turn heads. Toninato potted a crucial shorthanded goal in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Kraken, and in the latest contest he slid a perfect pass from a defensive zone circle to Adam Lowry for another Jets shorty. This type of production is not sustainable for a skater averaging only 8:15 of ice time, but Toninato should be viewed as a bargain for the Jets given his $750,000 AAV that runs through the 2022-23 season.

  • Jets' Dominic Toninato: Exits protocols

Toninato cleared COVID-19 protocols Friday, Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun reports. The 27-year-old could re-enter the lineup Saturday in St. Louis after missing a pair of games while in virus protocols. • Jets' Dominic Toninato: Remains in COVID-19 protocols

Toninato is still in the league's COVID-19 protocols despite indications his first result may have been a false positive, Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet reports. In addition to missing out against the Panthers on Tuesday, Toninato seems poised to be sidelined for additional games at this point. Even once cleared to return, the 27-year-old winger has just one point in his last 12 games and shouldn't be expected to offer much in the way of fantasy value moving forward.

  • Jets' Dominic Toninato: Possible false positive

Toninato (COVID-19 protocols) may have received a false positive for COVID-19 and may still be an option against Florida on Tuesday, Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun reports. Toninato has just one point in his previous 12 contests, so few fantasy players will be worried about whether the winger will be in action Tuesday.

Toninato scored a goal in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Kraken. Paul Stastny forced a turnover behind the Kraken's net and set up Toninato for the opening tally at 5:24 of the first period. The goal was Toninato's second point in the last three games. The 27-year-old is up to five points, 12 shots on net, 29 hits and an even plus-minus rating in 23 contests. Despite the recent signs of life on offense, the Minnesota native will likely remain in a bottom-six role.

  • Jets' Dominic Toninato: Logs helper Sunday

Toninato recorded an assist and two PIM in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Maple Leafs. Toninato helped out on Evgeny Svechnikov's second-period tally. The assist snapped a five-game point drought for Toninato. He's at four points, 11 shots on net, 27 hits and four PIM in 21 contests. With little chance of moving up past a fourth-line role, the 27-year-old isn't likely to be a factor in fantasy.

Toninato (undisclosed) participated in practice Thursday, Murat Ares of The Athletic reports. • Jets' Dominic Toninato: Grabs two-year deal

Toninato (undisclosed) inked a two-year, $1.5 million contract with Winnipeg on Tuesday. Toninato's deal starts as a two-way pact for the upcoming campaign before switching to a one-way contract for 2022-23. Back in 2019-20, the 27-year-old winger logged 46 games for the Panthers but was limited to a meager two appearances with Winnipeg this season. Even if the Duluth, Minnesota native can secure regular NHL minutes, it will likely be in a bottom-six role, making him a mid-range fantasy option at best.
