Bisson was placed on waivers Sunday for assignment to AHL Syracuse, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Bisson spent the 2023-24 season with AHL Laval. The 27-year-old defenseman figures to fill a similar role for the Lightning in 2024-25. Bisson has yet to appear in an NHL game.

Lightning's Tobie Bisson: Inks two-way deal
Bisson signed a one-year, two-way contract with Tampa Bay on Monday.
Bisson collected nine goals, 27 points and 59 PIM in 69 regular-season appearances with AHL Laval in 2023-24. The 27-year-old blueliner doesn't have any NHL experience. Bisson will likely begin the 2024-25 campaign in the minors.

Tobie Bisson: Cut loose from PTO
Montreal released Bisson from his professional tryout agreement Saturday and sent him to AHL Laval for training camp.
Bisson, who signed a one-year, AHL deal with the Rocket in July, had four goals and 16 points in 61 minor-league contests with Ontario last season. The 26-year-old defender doesn't have any NHL experience yet.
