Kirk was placed on unconditional waivers by Arizona on Wednesday, according to Craig Morgan of PHNX Sports.
Arizona took Kirk with the No. 189 overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft. The 23-year-old had five goals and 11 points in 15 ECHL games with Atlanta last season. He was then loaned by the Coyotes to Jukurit on Dec. 28 and went on to record seven goals and 19 points in 25 contests with the Finnish league team. In the likely event Kirk clears waivers, his contract with Arizona will be terminated, and he'll likely continue his career in Europe.

Kirk will be loaned by Arizona to Jukurit of the Finnish League, according to Craig Morgan of PHNX Sports.
Kirk has five goals and 11 points in 15 games with ECHL Atlanta this season. As part of the process before heading to Jukurit, he was recalled to Arizona and then sent to AHL Tuscon to get his belongings. Arizona will still retain his NHL rights.

Kirk has recovered from knee surgery and is expected to be available for the start of training camp, Arizona Coyotes Insider Craig Morgan reports.
Kirk logged just eight games for AHL Tucson last season in which he garnered two goals and one assist before being sidelined due to his knee problem. With the 22-year-old center ready to play, he should get an extended look in training camp but will be hard-pressed to secure a spot on the 23-man roster given his extended layoff.

Kirk will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign after having successful knee surgery, the club announced Thursday.
Kirk played in eight games for AHL Tucson this year in which he recorded two goals and one assist. Selected by the organization in the seventh round of the 2018 NHL Draft, the 21-year-old Kirk will almost certainly need another year or two developing in the minors before getting a shot at making the Coyotes' 23-man roster.
