Anaheim released Wolff from his professional tryout agreement Saturday and assigned him to AHL San Diego.
Wolff agreed to a one-year, AHL deal with the Gulls in July. The 27-year-old rearguard had one goal, three assists and 61 PIM in 35 minor-league contests with Providence last season. Wolff doesn't have any NHL experience yet.

Wolff signed a one-year, two-way contract with Boston on Tuesday.
Wolff has yet to make his NHL debut as an undrafted blueliner. He's spent the last two seasons with AHL Providence, tallying 10 assists in 56 games. The 25-year-old may spend some time with the big club to begin the 2022-23 campaign as the Bruins are dealing with several injured defensemen.

Wolff spent most of the 2020-21 campaign with AHL Providence, picking up two assists in 24 contests. The University of Minnesota-Duluth product will almost certainly spend the majority of the upcoming season in the minors.
