  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Dishes pair of assists

Crosby notched two assists, including one on the power play, and five shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canucks. Crosby logged his third multi-point effort in his last six games. He set up Rickard Rakell for both goals. Their connection will be key to the Penguins keeping the lights on for their dim playoff chances in the absences of Jake Guentzel (upper body) and Bryan Rust (upper body). Crosby is up to 62 points, 201 shots on net, 70 hits and a plus-17 rating through 56 appearances.

Crosby scored a goal and added three assists, one on the power play, in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Flyers. The future Hall of Famer got the Penguins on the board midway through the first period before having a hand in two Bryan Rust (upper body) tallies and a third-period marker by Rickard Rakell. Crosby is doing what he can to drag his team into the postseason. Since the calendar flipped to 2024, the 36-year-old has recorded 12 goals and 24 points in 20 games.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Nets lone goal in loss

Crosby scored a power-play goal on two shots, added two PIM and logged three hits in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Kings. Crosby opened the scoring late in the first period, but that was the only puck the Penguins could sneak past Cam Talbot. With four goals and an assist over six games since the All-Star break, Crosby is once again rolling on offense. The 36-year-old is up to 31 tallies, 55 points, 183 shots on net, 60 hits and a plus-18 rating over 52 contests this season. The absence of Jake Guentzel (upper body) takes a lot out of the Penguins' offense, but Crosby will almost always give his team something to work with.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Secures 30-goal campaign

Crosby scored twice on three shots and went plus-3 in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Blackhawks. Crosby had gone two contests without a point after the end of his nine-game streak. He stormed back into the scoring mix with a tally 15 seconds into this game before adding an insurance marker in the third period. Crosby is at 30 goals on the year, achieving that milestone for the 12th time in his career. He's collected 54 points, 181 shots on net, 55 hits and a plus-19 rating over 51 appearances in an impressive age-36 campaign.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Extends point streak with goal

Crosby scored a power-play goal in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Wild. His tally early in the third period tied the game at 2-2, but the Penguins' offense went cold the rest of the way. Crosby has gotten onto the scoresheet in nine straight games, racking up six goals and 11 points over that stretch, and the 36-year-old superstar sits two goals short of his 12th career 30-goal campaign.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Seven-game, nine-point streak

Crosby picked up an assist Saturday in a 3-2 overtime win over Montreal. Crosby has accumulated five goals and nine points over the course of his active seven-game scoring streak. With his helper Saturday, he's also reached 50 points (27 goals, 23 assists) in a 17th NHL season. That puts him in a six-way tie for 22nd in the NHL's scoring race. Crosby has 1,552 points over 18 campaigns (1,236 contests), and with continued health, he will move past Ray Bourque into 11th all-time -- he needs 28 points to do that.

Crosby scored a goal on a team-high six shots in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Coyotes. • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Three points including GWG

Crosby scored the game-winning goal on the power play and added two even-strength assists in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Bruins. His wrist shot from the top of the faceoff circle trickled through a partially screened Jeremy Swayman midway through the third period, breaking a 5-5 tie. It's the 90th game-winning goal of Crosby's Hall of Fame career, and only nine players in NHL history have reached 100. The 36-year-old has four multi-point performances in the last 10 games, a stretch in which Crosby has compiled seven goals and 13 points.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Two-point effort in loss

Crosby scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Capitals. The Penguins came out very flat and were down 4-0 before the first period was over, but Crosby helped make a game of it with two points in the second. The future Hall of Famer has been more steady than explosive of late -- he hasn't gone two straight games without finding the scoresheet since late November, and over his last 18 contests, Crosby has nine goals and 16 points. The 36-year-old hasn't had a 40-goal campaign since 2016-17, but with 21 tallies in 36 games to kick off 2023-24, he's on track for one this year.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Zings 19th of season

Crosby scored his 19th goal of the season and the lone goal in the shootout in a 2-1 shootout victory over the Hurricanes on Thursday. He opened the scoring in the first period with his fourth goal in his past four games. It was a sweet little chip play that beat Pyotr Kochetkov glove side. Crosby has seven points, including four goals, in his last five games. Sid the Kid is scoring at a 50-goal pace, something he's only done once before (2009-10). And he looks like he can maintain his current point pace, which would deliver him his second consecutive 90-point season. Crosby is delivering this season, but few other Penguins are doing the same.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Collects two power-play points

Crosby scored a goal and registered an assist in Pittsburgh's 4-3 win over Minnesota on Monday. Both of Crosby's points came with the man advantage. He managed just three power-play points over his first 26 contests this year, but over his last four games, the 36-year-old has supplied three goals and six points, including five power-play points. Overall in 2023-24, Crosby's recorded 18 goals and 33 points in 30 appearances, putting him on track to surpass the 40-marker milestone for the first time since 2016-17.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Carries offense in shootout win

Crosby scored two goals, one on the power play, and added a power-play assist in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Canadiens. He also beat Sam Montembeault in a wild shootout that ended up going 12 rounds. It's Crosby's first multi-point effort since Nov. 18, snapping a lukewarm stretch in between during which he'd managed only three goals and six points in 11 games. With Wednesday's production, the future Hall of Famer is now tied with Mark Recchi at 1,533 career points, 13th on the all-time list. Next up in 12th is Joe Thornton at 1,539, and if Crosby stays healthy the rest of the season, 10th place (Phil Esposito at 1,590 points) won't be out of reach.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Nets goal in loss to Flyers

Crosby scored a goal in the Penguins' 2-1 overtime loss to Philadelphia on Monday. Crosby gave the Penguins a 1-0 lead late in the first period, but Pittsburgh never built off that edge. It was his 15th marker and 26th point in 24 contests this season. Even at the age of 36, Crosby can still be counted among the league's top forwards. It is worth cautioning, though, that Crosby has been working through a colder patch recently, providing three goals and four points over his last eight outings.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Among NHL goal leaders

Crosby scored a goal Thursday in a 4-2 win over the Lightning. He pushed the score to 2-1 in the second period when he wired a shot from the left faceoff circle that beat Andrei Vasilevskiy high on the short side. Crosby now has 14 goals (25 points) in 22 games. And he's done it almost entirely 5v5 -- just two of his goals and one assist have come on the power play. The Penguins have been painful to watch on the power play -- they've been passive and ineffective, and among the NHL's worst. If they can figure out that mess, Crosby's output will surely climb. As it stands, he's in a three-way tie with Kyle Connor and Auston Matthews for fourth on the NHL goal list.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Knocks in 13th goal

Crosby scored a goal in Friday's 3-2 road loss against the Sabres. Crosby ended up with five shots on goal and a hit in his 19:14 of ice time across 24 shifts. He also won 17 of his 32 faceoff attempts. Sid the Kid snapped a season-high, two-game scoreless skid with the goal. His five shots were the most he's had since he was credited with 11 on Oct. 30 against Anaheim. Crosby is up to eight goals, 13 points and a plus-13 rating through 10 November appearances.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Climbing all-time ranks

Crosby scored both Penguins goals in a 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes on Saturday. Crosby's backhand goals are epic, and Saturday was no exception. Both of his snipes came off the back of his stick, fooling Antti Raanta both times. Crosby is on an 11-game, 17-point scoring streak that includes nine goals. And he's been held off the scoresheet just once this season (16 games). With the goals, Crosby moved past Guy Lafleur (560) and Mike Modano (561) into 26th on the all-time NHL goal list with 562. Given his pace, Sid is likely to move past Mats Sundin (564), Joe Nieuwendyk (564), Patrick Marleau (566), Mike Bossy (573) and Mark Recchi (577) this season.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Streak at 10 games, 15 points

Crosby picked up an assist Thursday in a 5-2 loss to the Devils. Crosby extended his point streak to 10 games and 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) with a secondary helper on Bryan Rust's second-period goal. Sid has 20 points in 15 games this season, which puts him in a five-way tie for 14th in the NHL. At 36, Crosby remains an elite fantasy option and is on track for his first 100-point season since 2018-19.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Posts 16th career hat trick

Crosby scored three goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets. After opening the scoring early in the first period, Crosby waited until the final six minutes of the third to complete his 16th career hat trick, tipping home an Erik Karlsson shot before potting an empty-netter later. Crosby extended his point streak to nine games in the process, a stretch in which he's racked up seven goals and 14 points, and assuming he can stay as healthy as he did last season, he's currently on pace for his first 50-goal season since 2009-10 and his best point total since 2006-07 -- not bad for a 36-year-old.
