It's a rerun of last season's Europa League semifinals in the Champions League league phase on Tuesday night as Tottenham travel to the Arctic Circle to take on Bodo/Glimt, perhaps relieved this fixture landed in September rather than later in the year or even in January of next. Last time they met in May Ange Postecoglou's side won both legs and they will surely be favorites to win again this time out.

After all, Postecoglou's successor, Thomas Frank, has added stability to this Tottenham team even if it might have come at the cost of the cutting edge that was missing in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers and perhaps even in their opening European game, a 1-0 win over Villarreal. Bodo/Glimt, meanwhile, are vying for the Norwegian title in the final weeks of the season but still began their Champions League campaign well, drawing 2-2 at Slavia Prague.

Team news

Bodo/Glimt: Several senior players are doubts for Tottenham's visit: attacking midfielder Daniel Bassi, veteran midfielder Ulrik Saltnes and center back Jostein Gundersen among them. Still those who will be fit enough have had plenty of time to prepare themselves since a win over Odd Grenland in the Norwegian Cup.

"We played a cup match on Thursday and have used the days well," said head coach Kjetil Knutsen. "We landed in Bodo on Friday morning, gave the players Friday off, and have since focused on the Tottenham match. We have faced Tottenham before and feel well prepared."

Possible Bodo/Glimt XI: Nikita Haikin; Frederik Sjovold, Odin Bjortuft, Haitam Aleesami, Frederik Andre Bjorkan; Hakon Evjen, Patrik Berg, Sondre Auklend; Matthias Jorgensen, Kasper Hogh, Jens Peter Hauge

Tottenham: Spurs continue to struggle to get their center forwards fit early in the season with Randal Kolo Muani still missing from training after his leg injury. Dominic Solanke has undergone surgery, the result of a lingering ankle issue, meaning it is likely to be Richarlison leading the line in Norway. Kota Takai, Ben Davies and Yves Bissouma did all return to training after their injuries, swelling Frank's options if he wants to keep one eye on Saturday's early game at Leeds.

Possible Tottenham XI: Guglielmo Vicario; Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie; Joao Palhinha, Rodrigo Bentancur; Mohamed Kudus, Lucas Bergvall, Xavi Simons; Richarlison

Prediction

This should be no less manageable for Tottenham this season than it was last. A diligent Bodo/Glimt could make their visitors have to work for it but Frank has the quality he needs. PICK: Bodo/Glimt 1, Tottenham 2
