PHILADELPHIA (AP) AJ Brodeur scored a career-high 22 points as Penn ran away from Lafayette in the second half to take an 81-52 victory Wednesday night.

Brodeur, a freshman, knocked down 10 of 13 shots from the field as well as both free throw attempts while grabbing seven boards and dishing out five assists.

The Quakers (3-4) held a nine-point advantage at intermission but outscored Lafayette by 20 points in the second half, 47-27. Penn was efficient from the field, hitting 33 of 59 shots (55.9 percent), including 10 of 27 from behind the arc.

Matt MacDonald and Jack Silpe hit back-to-back 3-pointers seven minutes into the second half to extend the lead to 16 points.

Jackson Donahue scored 15 points off the Penn bench and Matt Howard added 14 points for Penn (3-4).

Paulius Zalys scored 14 points and was the only scorer to reach double figures for the Leopards (3-5).
