Hawks' Aaron Wiggins: Out Monday
Wiggins (rest) won't play in Monday's preseason game against the Thunder, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Wiggins and most of Atlanta's regulars won't play in the penultimate preseason game. He finished with 13 points (4-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, an assist and two steals across 20 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 119-117 preseason win over the Pacers.

Hawks' Aaron Wiggins: Provides scoring punch off bench
Wiggins finished with 13 points (4-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, an assist and two steals across 20 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 119-117 preseason win over the Pacers.
Wiggins provided an efficient scoring contribution off the bench, knocking down three three-pointers while also contributing defensively with two steals, factors that contributed to a team-high plus-13. His combination of perimeter shooting and defensive activity will secure him a consistent role in Atlanta's rotation, but his role off the bench will limit his upside a bit.

Hawks' Aaron Wiggins: Back to bench role
Wiggins is not in the starting lineup in Saturday's preseason game against the Pacers, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.
Wiggins won't start after doing so in Thursday's contest, but he could still get minutes off the bench. The 27-year-old is expected to be a bench option at both forward spots once the regular season starts, and he'll move back to the bench here since Jalen Johnson is back in the starting lineup.

Hawks' Aaron Wiggins: Drawing start Thursday
Wiggins will start Thursday's preseason game against the Spurs, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Wiggins' preseason debut was cut short after he suffered a lip laceration and was downgraded to out, but he's in line for a larger role Thursday evening. The 27-year-old will draw the start at power forward with Jalen Johnson set for a night off.

Hawks' Aaron Wiggins: Shut down with cut lip
Wiggins won't return to Monday's preseason game against the Grizzlies due to a cut to his inner lip. He'll end with seven points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in 11 minutes.
This appears to be a minor injury for Wiggins, but the Hawks will play it safe by sitting him down for the remainder of the matchup. He can be considered day-to-day leading up to Thursday's exhibition against San Antonio.

Hawks' Aaron Wiggins: Headed to Atlanta
The Hawks acquired Wiggins from the Thunder on Sunday in exchange for 2030 and 2032 second-round draft picks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
The No. 55 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Wiggins has spent the first five seasons of his career in Oklahoma City. The 27-year-old showed signs of promise during his tenure in Oklahoma City, but the Thunder's bevy of talent often resulted in him seeing inconsistent playing time. During the 2025-26 campaign, Wiggins posted averages of 9.4 points, 3.1 assists, 1.7 assists, 1.5 three-pointers and 0.9 steals in 21.8 minutes per contest over 65 regular-season appearances. Wiggins should have a chance at capturing a more sizable role in Atlanta, especially if the Hawks choose not to exercise Jonathan Kuminga's $24.3 million team option for the upcoming season.
