  • Bengals' Ke'Shawn Williams: Claimed by Cincinnati

The Bengals claimed Williams off waivers Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Williams was cut by the division-rival Steelers on Monday and quickly lands on his feet as a potential replacement for Charlie Jones (ankle) after he was injured in the Bengals' Week 15 loss to the Ravens. Williams played just nine offensive snaps across eight games with the Steelers but did handle 18 kickoff returns for 425 yards and 11 punt returns for 112 yards.

  • Ke'Shawn Williams: Cut by Pittsburgh

The Steelers waived Williams on Monday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Williams was cut to make room for veteran wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling on the 53-man roster. Across eight regular-season appearances with the Steelers this year, Williams had compiled 425 yards as a kick returner and 112 yards fielding punts. He'll be a candidate to resurface on the team's practice squad.

  • Steelers' Ke'Shawn Williams: Good to go for Week 12

Williams (concussion) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Bears, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.

Williams was concussed in last week's win over the Bengals but was able to gain clearance for Week 12. The wide receiver has logged just four offensive snaps this season but has played 48 on special teams across six appearances.

  • Steelers' Ke'Shawn Williams: Full participant Thursday

Williams (concussion) was listed as a full participant at Thursday's practice, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Williams' return to full participation puts him on track to suit up Sunday at Chicago, though he will need to gain clearance from an independent neurologist to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. If given the green light to play, Williams will likely continue to contribute primarily on special teams.

  • Steelers' Ke'Shawn Williams: Limited to open week

Williams (concussion) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Williams entered the league's concussion protocol during the Steelers' Week 11 win over the Bengals. His ability to practice Wednesday -- albeit in a limited capacity -- is a sign that he is progressing through the protocol. However, Williams would not be allowed to play against the Bears on Sunday unless an independent neurologist clears him from the league's five-step concussion protocol. He has mostly served in a return role on special teams and has logged 291 yards on six kickoff returns and 112 yards on 11 punt returns across six regular-season games.

  • Steelers' Ke'Shawn Williams: Done for Week 11 due to concussion

Williams is in concussion protocol and has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against Cincinnati, Steelers Senior Director of Communication Burt Lauten reports.

Williams returned the opening kickoff for 20 yards but was ruled out before the start of the second quarter. His absence will primarily affect the Steelers' special-teams unit, as Williams has been working as one of the club's top kick and punt returners. D'Shawn Jamison has replaced Williams in the return game.

  • Steelers' Ke'Shawn Williams: Inked to Pittsburgh's active roster

The Steelers signed Williams from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

Williams joined the Steelers' practice squad in late August after failing to make the team's 53-man roster at the end of training camp. Though he hasn't been elevated this season, the undrafted rookie out of Indiana could make his NFL regular-season debut against the Browns on Sunday due to the absence of Calvin Austin (shoulder). Austin's absence opens the door for Williams to serve on special teams as a returner on kickoffs and punts.

  • Ke'Shawn Williams: Gets practice squad spot with Pitt

Williams signed with Pittsburgh's practice squad Wednesday.

Williams went unclaimed after being waived Tuesday and is back with the Steelers organization despite failing to make the 53-man roster. The rookie receiver out of Indiana was among the team's final cuts and could be looked upon to fill in if injuries strike Pittsburgh's receiving corps.

  • Ke'Shawn Williams: Waived by Steelers

Williams was waived Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Williams failed to make Pittsburgh's initial 53-man roster despite a productive preseason. The rookie out of Indiana is expected to pass through waivers unclaimed but may subsequently land on Pittsburgh's practice squad.

  • Steelers' Ke'Shawn Williams: Leading receiver in exhibition win

Williams secured both of his targets for 55 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 31-25 preseason win over Jacksonville.

Williams has impressed during camp while working solely with the second and third units, and he led the team in receiving yards Saturday while finding the end zone late in the fourth quarter. Roc Taylor has drawn plenty of attention during camp due to his size and physicality, but Williams has played on the inside and outside during camp while making solid catches regularly, and he showcased his potential late in Saturday's preseason opener. The 23-year-old isn't guaranteed a spot on the Steelers' 53-man roster to begin the regular season, but if he continues to make am impact during camp and preseason play, he could also make a case for some playing time at some point during the 2025 campaign since the Steelers don't have many receivers with established roles behind DK Metcalf.
