Angels' Andrew Bailey: Transferred to 60-day disabled list

Bailey (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Thursday.

The Angels needed to clear a roster spot after acquiring Brandon Phillips and did so by transferring Bailey over to the 60-day DL. Bailey, who was ruled out for the season Tuesday, battled shoulder issues throughout the 2017 season and only threw four innings in the majors.
