Yan was optioned by the Angels on Wednesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Yan was not in contention for an Opening Day roster spot and is the team's first cut this spring. The left-hander got into one Cactus League contest, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over 0.2 innings. He'll continue his development in the minors to start the campaign.
