Athletics' Collin Wiles: Called up by Oakland

Wiles was called up from Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday.

Wiles was selected by the Rangers with the 53rd pick in the 2012 draft, and he will join a big-league roster for the first time. It's unclear what role he will work in, but he could get a chance to start if James Kaprielian (finger) is not ready to take the ball next time through the rotation.
