Athletics' Deolis Guerra: Placed on 60-day IL

Guerra was placed on the 60-day injured list Thursday due to a sprained right UCL, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Guerra will require surgery to address his UCL injury, and he'll miss at least the first two months of the season. The exact nature of his procedure hasn't yet been revealed, so a timetable for his return is unknown.
