Laureano is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Rays, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Laureano had started the last six contests but will begin this one on the bench, with the Associated Press reporting the outfielder has some hand stiffness from a slide into third base Tuesday, though he is available off the bench. The Athletics have Seth Brown in right field and JJ Bleday in left against Tyler Glasnow.
