Diamondbacks' Riley Smith: Reinstated, sent down

Smith (undisclosed) was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list and optioned to Triple-A Reno on Thursday.

Smith was one of several Diamondbacks who landed on the COVID-19 IL last week, and he'll be unable to maintain his spot on the active roster after clearing the league's health and safety protocols. Since the start of June, the right-hander has posted a 6.67 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 28.1 innings.
