Dodgers' Chris Taylor: On bench for wild-card game

Taylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's wild-card game against the Cardinals, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The first-time All-Star has enjoyed a full-time role for the majority of the season, but he saw his playing time tail off in September, due in no small part to a recurring neck injury. Taylor looks to be healthy entering the playoffs, but he may have to settle for a short-side platoon role now that Los Angeles has all its key hitters available with the exception of Max Muncy (elbow).
