Guardians' Alex Call: Jettisoned from 40-man roster

Call was designated for assignment by the Guardians on Friday.

Call was optioned to Triple-A Columbus earlier this week and has now lost his spot on Cleveland's 40-man roster. He's appeared in 12 big-league games this year and went 2-for-12 with four walks and two runs score. Hunter Gaddis, who is starting Friday against Houston, had his contract selected in a corresponding move.
