Hector Neris: Reaches free agency

The Angels released Neris on Thursday.

Neris has posted an ugly 7.81 ERA in 15 innings this season between Atlanta and Anaheim, though he has struck out 20 batters during that time. The veteran reliever should get another opportunity elsewhere, but he might have to pitch in the minors for a bit.
