Indians' Jon Edwards: Sent to Triple-A

Edwards was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.

Edwards surrendered a run and struck out one over 2.1 frames in two relief appearances during his latest big-league stint. He's been shipped to the minors to make room for Jefry Rodriguez, who will start Tuesday's matchup against the White Sox.
