The Mariners released Odom on Wednesday.
With fellow catcher Luis Torrens getting outrighted to Triple-A Tacoma, the Mariners didn't have room for Odom with their top affiliate. The 30-year-old backstop saw action in 20 games in the big leagues between the previous two seasons but had played exclusively at Tacoma in 2022, batting .231 with 10 home runs in 238 plate appearances.
