Davis (knee) was activated from the 60-day injured list by the Marlins and opted for free agency on Thursday.
Davis was outrighted to Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday and unsurprisingly went unclaimed on waivers. He'll likely land a minor-league deal with a team this offseason.
