Heineman signed a minor-league deal with the Mariners on Thursday, Mike Curto of the Triple-A Tacoma broadcast team reports.
Heineman closed the 2021 season by playing in Japan, but he has now returned stateside. He has big-league experience with both the Reds and Rangers, though he has never earned more than 100 plate appearances with a major-league club in a single season.
