Hall was claimed off waivers by the Marlins on Wednesday and was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Hall has been limited to pitching with Triple-A Reno this year and has disappointed -- accumulating a 7.98 ERA over 14.2 innings along with a .348 OBA. The 28-year-old has experienced success in the past, however, as he's logged a career 2.91 ERA in the minors over 269 innings in relief. Perhaps a change of scenery from Reno to New Orleans can turn the righty's luck around as he continues to establish his minor league resume.
