Gordon is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Gordon has two starts against right-handed pitchers but will hit the bench Sunday with lefty Bailey Falter on the mound for Pittsburgh. Bryan De La Cruz will shift to left field from designated hitter, but it's effectively Vidal Brujan replacing Gordon in the lineup.
